What the gurus are saying

Beauty gurus consistently steer people away from Lush skincare due to widespread adverse reactions including rashes and breakouts reported by customers. The community consensus is that the products' heavy reliance on fresh, potent ingredients can be irritating and unpredictable for many skin types, particularly acne-prone skin. While the ingredient transparency is appreciated, the track record of negative reactions outweighs the appeal of the natural formulation.

"I just cannot recommend Lush skincare anymore. I haven't done for years now. The amount of customers we'd get in complaining because of the bad reactions they had had to the products like they come with rashes, like breakouts, like it was so bad. So so bad. And I didn't have any explanation for it, but after seeing so many people react so poorly to these products and knowing what these products can actually do to people's skin, now we're all a bit more educated."

"Lush acne and Lush to my head don't go together. They don't go together. It wasn't so much what they were telling me, it wasn't that they were telling me you know this does that and you can rub this soap on your face and rub some garlic on your face whatever. But at the time I was used to Clean and Clear, and I was like, oh actually ingredients is really interesting. Like this is a whole new world that I don't know about."
