What the gurus are saying

Heat delivered at 40 to 43 degrees Celsius sets this device apart, triggering collagen production by heat-shocking the fibroblasts in the dermis. Experts particularly value it for lifting the jawline and lower face, and praise how travel-friendly it is compared to other skin-tightening tools. Using it twice a week is how the gurus recommend approaching it.

"This is the Lumo, this has been by Eva skin, this has been my all-time radio frequency device that I love. This is using heat, so when you're talking about radio frequency, you're heating the dermis to a point of between 40 and 43 degrees Celsius. If it's FDA cleared, it's going to be in that sweet spot. If it's saying that it is a radio frequency device and that it's for skin tightening, it's generally in that sweet spot of 40 to 43 degrees C."

"This is the Lumo. I really like this one. I like this for the lower face to kind of lift this up. So when we age we lose fat at our temples, we lose fat at our cheeks, and then that kind of transfers down here. So when you're older you've got like a thicker kind of feeling down here, filling I guess you could say that it fills in a little bit down here and decreases up here. I like the Lumo for lifting this jowl area. Radio frequency is something that I use twice a week."

"I sometimes travel with my Lumo, which is the Radio Frequency Device, and it's very rare that I would ever travel with my favorite microcurrent device because that isn't very nice to travel with."

"I do radio frequency twice a week with the LUMO. Radio frequency heats the dermis between 41 and 43°C, which stimulates the production of collagen. So it's heat shocking those fibroblast cells to produce collagen and elastin. That's what radio frequency does."
