What the gurus are saying

Experts split on whether modeling masks are worth the time: some found them ineffective and cumbersome, prone to sticking to facial hair and eyebrows, while others rave about near-instant brightness, smoothness, and revitalization. The divide likely hinges on whether the format itself suits people's skin type and feature set, particularly for those with facial hair or brows where sticking becomes an issue.

"I know the Lindsay modeling masks are the more popular ones, but I just don't like modeling masks in general. They take a lot of time, they stick to my facial hair and eyebrows even when I try to avoid them, and I never get the benefits they're offering. [...] If anything it's a nice occlusive layer to trap in moisture, [...] but I find it a waste of time to be perfectly honest with you."

"Of course my Lindsay Modeling Mask, this is something that really throws me back to when I started this channel. I haven't used rubber masks for a really, really long time, it kind of died out for me, and then I went to Seoul in the beginning of the year, I had a treatment, and it ended, of course, as always, with the rubber mask, and my feelings just got completely reignited. I've been using them since. There are very few things that can make my skin look as good and feel as good in as short a time, it really is kind of that instant fix. Everything is brighter, smoother, softer, more revitalized."
