What the gurus are saying

Silk's smooth surface significantly reduces hair breakage, dryness, and frizziness overnight while also providing skin hydration retention and helping to prevent wrinkles. The breathable, cool-to-touch material is particularly useful for those with eczema since overheating can trigger flares, and its smoothness means no irritation as you shift positions throughout the night. Made from 100% mulberry silk, the pillowcase is built to last.

"Lily Silk pillowcases help to minimize hair breakage from when we're sleeping, reducing breakage, dryness, and frizziness. When I made that switch it really was game-changing for my hair quality and hair health. They also have skin benefits as well, helps to prevent wrinkles as well as help to retain skin hydration."

"I use Lily Silk pillowcases and they're nice. But whenever you do a pillowcase in silk you pay more, but if you're a side sleeper like myself, totally worth it because when I wake up with a regular pillowcase those sleep wrinkles are real. We've seen it published in plastic surgery journals that these sleep wrinkles over time when you have frictional rubbing and pressure on your face you can get static wrinkles or reds that don't go away, permanent wrinkles from laying on your side for so long and so consistently. They lead to wrinkles that just stay there, not just right after you wake up but throughout the day. A silk pillowcase can help relieve the tension and pressure on your face so you wake up refreshed and without those sleep wrinkles."

"My husband is a hot sleeper and loves this cool touch fabric for sleeping. Lily Silk was kind enough to gift us a second set of pillowcases for our guest room."

"I've been traveling with a silk pillowcase for over half a decade if not longer because I feel like sleeping on silk is something that I love doing. The Lily Silk quality is excellent, it is so buttery soft and it doesn't have colorant or dyes so it's great if you have sensitive skin. It has a zipper now that might seem like a trivial feature but it's not because silk has got a little bit of slip to it and you don't want it sliding off your pillow in the middle of the night. The other thing that makes this awesome is it has this little pocket on the inside and this entire pillowcase can fit in the little pocket and that's what makes it so supremely excellent for travel. Sleeping on silk is something that I really do feel like is beneficial for both my skin and my hair because silk can be very very tightly woven so it's not super absorbent, which is great because when I'm sleeping on my silk pillowcase I don't have to worry that all of the goodies that I've put on my face to kind of soak in overnight are instead going to be soaking into my pillowcase. Compared to a cotton or cotton blend pillowcase, silk is also really nice and slippery. There's not a lot of friction between your silk pillowcase and your skin or your hair, and that kind of serves multiple purposes. One, I feel like it makes me less prone to getting these like sleep creases, and it also doesn't make my hair frizz up overnight, which is huge because when I travel I want to maximize the amount of sleep I'm going to get and I don't want to get up early to do my hair."

"I'm a huge fan of Lily Silk - I sleep on their pillowcases every night. They're 100% mulberry silk, super durable, and last a lifetime. From a skin and hair perspective, silk is very breathable, which is good if you deal with eczema since overheating can flare it. The material is very smooth on the skin. I love sleeping on a silk pillowcase because not only does it keep me cool, but it's nice and smooth on the skin and doesn't lead to any irritation as I turn my head from side to side."
