What they liked

  • Gentle and non-stripping even while cleaning well
  • Large pump bottle, good value for size
  • Subtle, sophisticated floral fragrance

What they flagged

  • Too rich for daily use without residue buildup
  • Not ideal for stretched-out wash cycles

What the gurus are saying

This shampoo leaves hair feeling soft and moisturized rather than stripped, thanks to its gentle formula and piroctone olamine for dandruff control. The richness is its strength and its catch: those washing daily or with dry, damaged hair find it delivers smooth, hydrated results, but anyone trying to extend time between washes may notice it builds up weight over time. A pleasant, subtle floral scent lingers to the next day.

"It contains piroctone olamine, an anti-fungal that helps cut down on Malassezia, a great ingredient if you're prone to dandruff. I really like this product as a shampoo, but it's very, very rich, and I found I could not use it as a daily shampoo without getting a little bit of weighty residue to my hair. If you have very damaged, brittle hair or you color treat your hair, this might be a better option for you."

"The moisture balancing version honestly isn't the best match for my hair right now since I'm trying to stretch out the time between shampoos because of my hair color. [...] But when I was washing my hair daily [...] it felt really nice, [...] it actually felt like it was adding moisture back, meaning oiliness and a smooth feeling, it didn't make my hair feel squeaky or rough, and it didn't strip my hair dye much."
