What the gurus are saying

Foaming occurs when this cream is layered over other products (particularly vitamin C serums) making application fussy, and some question whether the premium price truly justifies the hassle. However, others consistently praise it as remarkably gentle for sensitive or compromised skin, emphasizing that its simple formula and compact tube make it an exceptionally reliable choice even when everything else irritates.

"The products I like are the CeraVe hydrating cleanser and the La Roche-Posay Toleriane. Both are safe daily choices for black skin."

"The second product I love that is anti-inflammatory is La Roche-Posay Toleriane. I actually don't like a lot of La Roche-Posay and I've made a whole video for you on it. Most of the products were not formulated very well for skin of color. But this product I like. It's for sensitive skin. It's got glycerin plus thermal water."

"This is by La Roche-Posay and this is the Toleriane cream. I really like this for both morning and evening. This is also a lovely cream that sits nice underneath sunscreen and makeup and it never ever disappoints. You can honestly pair this up with anything and it really helps to keep your skin barrier nice and nourished and repaired and it just keeps your skin looking so youthful. It does give your skin a little bit of that glow as well and it's also very moisturizing so great for dry skin but great for all skin types. It's a nice cream to use, especially if you do experience a little bit of dryness at first, because it will ensure that your skin barrier will remain nice and strong and moisturized. I really love the La Roche-Posay moisturizers."

"I found this product became very fussy to work with and I found it ended up foaming when I apply it over almost anything else. Don't know why at all but something with the proteins in here or the peptides and whatever product I was using, maybe the pH something was different, but it started to foam up and became very annoying to use. And it's also very expensive. If you're someone that uses it, do you not notice the foaming? Maybe it's just especially with vitamin C. If I use it over vitamin C serum I could almost guarantee it's going to foam up and be annoying."

"Another mist is by La Roche-Posay, this is their Toleriane Ultra. I have talked about this in so many videos and I have used up another one. This is actually the one from my office and I love it, it's fantastic."

"One of my favorites is the La Roche Posay Toleriane Ultra. I've talked about this moisturizer before. It's a very simple moisturizer, it doesn't have a ton of ingredients, but I think it's very well tolerated if your skin is feeling sensitive or sensitized from your retinoids."

"The La Roche Posay Toleriane Ultra Moisturizing Cream is such a great core moisturizer for people who have very sensitive skin. It really is the only moisturizer I have ever tried where when my skin barrier is in shambles and everything else is stinging my skin I don't have issues with this. This is also the moisturizer I tend to bring with me on vacation because it's such a compact lightweight tube and no matter how my skin is acting I know it will be able to do okay with this moisturizer. It is my tried and true."
