"I really like using this in the summertime in my morning routine, especially when it's super hot and humid outside, and I want something that also offers a little bit of a mattifying property and layers nicely under sunscreen. It provides really great hydration without really feeling like there's much on your skin. It helps to keep your skin barrier protected and supported, and it has a really nice and elegant texture. If you have oily skin, the properties of this moisturizer really keeps you from looking shiny like midday. Ingredient wise, it's got ceramides and niacinamide that helps to support your skin barrier. Niacinamide also offers some sebum control which is really nice especially for oily skin. It also has perlite which is a volcanic mineral that helps absorb excessive oil and then silica too provides that mattifying property. And then of course La Roche-Posay thermal spring water that is really mineral rich and helps to balance our skin microbiome. It's suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin, because I believe this is fragrance-free."

It's not going to replace vitamin C. It's not going to replace a prescription retinoid for decreasing dark spots.
