What the gurus are saying

Gurus overwhelmingly endorse La Roche-Posay sunscreens for their lightweight texture, invisibility on skin, and suitability for acne-prone complexions. The brand earns particular trust for research-backed UV filters and water resistance. A consistent note: formulations vary by region, with US versions sometimes underperforming compared to international options. One dissenting voice flags it as ineffective for certain skin types and acne concerns, but this is isolated against widespread praise.

10 K-Beauty Skincare Products that Truly Deliver Results
"I go with my La Roche-Posay sunscreen, which is great for the average day. It's got beta glucan and then it's also got the argireline botox in a bottle peptide. Lovely, no scent, totally invisible, great, feels nice on your skin. Highly, highly recommend this sunscreen. It's amazing."
Don't Be Fooled Again - Update on Newest Sunscreen Scandal
"If you're open to chemical sunscreens, La Roche-Posay, they have a lot of research. They've invented a lot of filters. I tend to trust them and Bioderma are a couple brands right off the bat that I pretty much trust almost implicitly. No brand is totally perfect when it comes to sunscreens because it's so complicated."

"La Roche-Posay makes some great sunscreens as long as you don't buy the ones that they have in the US. I don't love those, but La Roche-Posay is great for sunscreens."

Shopping The Best Sunscreens At Target 2024
"It doesn't burn or sting around the eyes, although I do get comments from people that it does. But they have changed the formulation over the years and they removed oxybenzone, which I think is the reason why it's stung for a lot of people. No white cast, very lightweight, great if you have acne-prone skin. Highly recommend. The SPF 30 is also another option too. This is a good one from La Roche-Posay, although it is a little on the shiny side, and personally I just prefer other sunscreen options for myself."

"Bondi Sands and La Roche-Posay sunscreens would be a really good combo actually. There are so many good sunscreens out right now it is unreal whether it's mineral American European Korea we just have so many incredible options. I'm not sure what's changed in terms of formulation but I'm just quite happy with how sunscreen has evolved over the last years."

"This sunscreen goes on really well, it's chemical based and really lightweight. I love this one a lot. It has UV Mune 400, which goes after long UVA wavelengths, so it's covering a broad spectrum UVA UVB but especially the wavelengths that we worry about causing worsening hyperpigmentation. This is a really nice one."

"La Roche-Posay is a terrible sunscreen. I know it's viral but it doesn't work with everyone. Please stop using it if you have a very deep back acne mark."

"I like to finish it up with the La Roche-Posay sunscreen and this is because whether or not you're going outside or even if you just get a little bit of sunlight, sit close to windows, whatever, you need sunscreen regardless. This one is very, very good, most importantly because this does not break me out and it's invisible. Some of these sunscreens they leave a white cast and if you're not careful, like if you apply sunscreen before you start doing your makeup, you can actually change the color of your complexion. This one does not do that."
