What the gurus are saying

This micellar water cuts through most everyday makeup and sunscreen well, though it can leave skin feeling sticky and may need a follow-up rinse with water to feel clean. Long-wear lipstick and stubborn products stay put even with rubbing. The formula does contain fragrance and may sting around the eyes, so patch-test first if you have sensitive skin there. What it does offer is good value in a large bottle for a straightforward everyday cleanse.

"I'm actually just going to use some Micellar Water from La Roche-Posay and I'm going to just put that onto a cotton pad to cleanse the sunscreen and any dirt and whatever off of my neck. You don't always have to rinse Micellar Water off your face but I do like to just go in with a wet washcloth just to get any of the remnants off because I do find like it can leave my skin feeling kind of sticky."

"I've gone through the La Roche-Posay Micellar Water quite a few times those big bottles. I think there are some amazing micellar waters out there."

"The one that I've used most consistently for a long period of time was the La Roche-Posay Micellar Water. Like, as always, good volume, good bang for your buck, pretty simple product."

"La Roche-Posay's Micellar Water, first of all, it does have a scent. Second of all, it does burn around the eyes. It does a pretty good job taking stuff off of your face, but it will not touch long-wear lipstick. It's not going anywhere. Just the Micellar Water, rubbing it around, and then getting in the shower and trying to rinse it off. No, forget about it. It's staying on there."
