"La Roche-Posay Lipikar Urea 10%. Urea is so great at drawing in water and also gently exfoliating dead skin cells. So I really love those products. Those are great to start off with, especially applying after a shower. It will help with those dry, ashy knees and elbows. And if you want to slug it and apply a product over that will really help lock everything in and you'll wake up with much smoother skin."

"La Roche-Posay came out with their Lipikar Urea 10%. And I love the texture of this. It's the roughness smoothing lotion here. Up to 48 hours of hydration. The texture is silky. For me, I'm weightlifting twice a week and I have these calluses on my hands, but I keep them down by using a higher percentage of urea, especially at bedtime before going to sleep. This also works well if you have really bumpy backs of the arms and thighs called keratosis pilaris. You see this more with people with eczema or atopic dermatitis. You can get these keratin plugs stuck up in the follicles and if you want to break those up with urea, this is a great start here. La Roche-Posay did a great job with their Lipikar because it has great keratolytic action. It's going to break up that dead skin with the urea."

"I like urea in moisturizers. This is just a nice convenient way to go about it and a nice pump, large size, it's 400 ml or 13.12 fluid ounces. It has shea butter and allantoin. It's a nice hydrating and moisturizing and soothing lotion here, and I love how it just spreads on so easily."

"The side with the La Roche-Posay is kind of sticky. It's sticky. It has a much more tacky feeling. Whereas the other side is very smooth and silky smooth. So that's the main difference in terms of how these apply."

"They came out with one with urea which is great for hydrating the skin. The main ingredients are water, urea, glycerin, shea butter, rapeseed oil, glycine, some fatty alcohols, and lanolin for soothing. It's almost as thick as the Lipikar, but not quite. It's light, but it's almost in the same vein, but I would say it's just a little bit more smoothing and a little bit goes a little bit further with this one. On days when my skin is really dry, I could probably layer this underneath that other one. I absolutely love it."

"I don't use this so much in the spring and summer because it's super thick and hydrating, but during the winter and fall I really love this stuff. The bottle's huge, and the fact that I repurchased it says something, because this bottle does last a long time, although it's super thick so a little bit doesn't go as far as you'd want. Someone was requesting something thinner and I'm like, this is really good stuff, I can get you something thinner but it's not going to be nearly as hydrating and protective. This stuff, you apply it and then you go to shower the next day and you still feel moisturized and soft. I love that, and this provides that."

"This one is spicy. Urea can burn, sting, tingle a bit, especially if you have atopic dermatitis and you're in the early stages of a flare up where things are a little raw, rashy. Urea can sting. Sometimes that sting, that tingle, it is uncomfortable, of course, but sometimes it kind of tricks the little itch nerves and you get some relief from itch. Even with my atopic dermatitis not flaring, it's been well controlled, but even with that, it's a little spicy, especially on my hands because I do get dyshidrotic hand eczema and putting it on my hands, it's like there's a little spice there. This one in particular really has a nice noticeable effect on skin firmness. It's not going to restore lost volume, set expectations to something more reasonable, but on the forearm especially, it gives you that youthful forearm bounce, which is underrated. Plus, the urea can kind of help brighten up the appearance of little age spots through hydration and gentle exfoliation."

It's pretty long lasting into the next day, for about 48 hours. If I skip moisturizing with this the next night, [...] my skin does stay moisturized for the next day. There's no fragrance or aroma of the urea, which is nice because urea can have an off-putting sour aroma to it. [...] It has shea butter in the backbone, which is a nice moisturizing formula."

In fact, after you shave, when you get out of the shower, if it's a night that you're not putting on antiperspirant, go ahead and apply some lotion. That fragrance-free body lotion from La Roche-Posay with niacinamide can be a great option."

"It does really well and the moisturized skin has that dewy bounce. It does last throughout the next day and even into the following day because I did skip to test out their 48-hour hydration claim and I have to say it actually does provide lasting hydration. The skin is supple, bouncy, glowy, smooth, doesn't feel tight or dry for a good 48 hours after applying. Now one thing I always complain about with these La Roche-Posay moisturizers is the packaging is so insufferable. The bottom third of moisturizer ends up tunneling out to the sidewalls and up, so you've got this full-on doughnut of lotion down there that you cannot access with the pump. You have to take the top off and bang it out into your hands. I don't like doing that because I find it annoying, I find it messy, and I find that you can't bang out the right amount of product. You end up using a ton or you don't get enough. It's just annoying."
