"It's their Hyalu B5. I remember first using this in 2020 when I was introduced to a lot more skin care than I usually am exposed to as a medical dermatologist. And so when I first used this, I loved how plumping it was. It really draws in water, causes that instant plumping effect. It does have a little bit of a scent and fragrance, and I like it. It actually is very nostalgic to me. It reminds me when I first started this YouTube channel, and it also has panthenol, which has moisturizing and hydrating effects. Great for supporting the skin barrier. It's one of my essentials on my bathroom counter."

"La Roche-Posay has a Hyalu B5, one of my favorites. Hyaluronic acid is a water magnet. Put that on damp skin after you cleanse to trap in all that moisture, and then go ahead and put a moisturizing cream over it."

"If you wanted to check out La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 serum, my patient today came in and said oh my gosh I saw your video I picked up that Hyalu B5 and it's awesome. She loves it. She's tried many different hyaluronic acid serums and that one for her big winner picks up all that moisture. Then layer over it with a moisturizer or a moisturizer with SPF. It's a nice boost of hydration and glowy texture before a big event, say going on the news or going to a holiday party, going to a reunion. You want to get that hydration boost, go ahead and do a hyaluronic acid serum."

"I really like the La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 or even the V2 mineral 89. You want to apply it directly to damp lips. You don't want to put it on completely dry lips, okay? Because hyaluronic acid by itself doesn't really moisturize. It pulls the moisture. So you want to make sure that you're one drinking lots of water, two your lips are just a little bit damp and then you apply your hyaluronic acid and immediately after applying that hyaluronic acid you want to put your occlusive on. So this is your Vaseline, your Aquaphor or your CeraVe healing ointment. So what you're doing is you have the moisture on the skin, okay? The water that you've applied, the water that you've drank, both of those preferably, and then the hyaluronic acid, which is like that sponge that's going to pull the water up to the top of the skin cells and the top of your lips. And then you have the occlusive ointment on top. It is perfect to soften that dry skin on top and rehydrate your lips."

"When I was using that around my eyes, man, it really had a drastic effect in tightening the skin on my eyes. That is a great skin protectant for around your eyes for reducing eyelid irritation. If you're dealing with aerosolized allergens, pollen, molds, or cooking spices that settle on the eyelids, it can help prevent eyelid dermatitis and heal it as well. It's glycerin based, so in contrast to other balms, it is a lot more hydrating and it doesn't go on opaque white. It's clear and colorless."
