What they flagged

Nothing. None of the experts who reviewed it raised a problem.

    What the gurus are saying

Kojic acid targets dark spots and helps neutralize the free radicals from environmental stressors that can otherwise drive acne and stubborn hyperpigmentation, while the glycolic acid provides gentle exfoliation. Since the formula already has glycolic acid in it, don't pair it with another glycolic product. Dermatologists praise this one, though the scent is fairly strong.

"Personally I'm a fan of this one, the Glycolic B5 Serum, it has a lot more going for it. It's got kojic acid which is helpful for dark spots, kojic acid is also a chelator so it'll help potentially minimize the reaction of iron to form free radicals upon exposure to environmental stressors, and those free radicals are what can aggravate acne as well as drive more stubborn hyperpigmentation."

"If you're struggling a lot with onion skin tone once you're on treatment that I really recommend is from Larose Posay their glycolic B5 that contains 10 glycolic acid as well as tranexamic acid and kojic acid"

"La Roche-Posay Glycolic B5 Serum is part of the chemical exfoliants category. If you're going to be using a glycolic acid, you do not need to use this serum on top of another glycolic product because it's the same ingredient. It does smell a little strong, but La Roche-Posay is one of those brands that I really do stand by. I think that they are great."

"I love this product. I think it is great. It gives you an instant glow. It does feel a little bit sticky and tacky, but I don't mind it for the fall. In summertime I would not like this feeling because everything is way too humid, but in wintertime it's not bad. Glycolic acid is one of the best exfoliating acids if you're looking for a rejuvenating glowy instant gratification look. It's fortified with panthenol, which is vitamin B5, which is a stronger humectant, so even though it is an exfoliating chemical, it's also going to help hydrate your skin. It has tranexamic acid as well as kojic acid to help minimize hyperpigmentation."
