What the gurus are saying

Gurus consistently praise this gel as an excellent lightweight hydrator, especially for the delicate under-eye area where it plumps skin and creates a subtle brightening effect. The formula applies smoothly without stickiness and works well post-procedure or on irritated skin. A key appeal is that a little goes a long way, making it economical despite its higher price point. The main note of caution is avoiding overuse; applying too much diminishes the effect.

"This is a holy grail. The glycerin skin protectant has transformed the look of my under eye area just through the action of hydration and protection from irritants. It has been amazing. I love putting a little tiny drop of this under my eyes, taking a little bit up to the upper eye area at night before I go to bed. I wake up the following morning and the area around my eyes looks so much better in comparison to when I do not use this. The hydration from the glycerin also plumps the skin to brighten that area. This is my second tube of this. It takes a long time for me to go through because I'm just using it on the delicate under eye skin."

"This is a balm, almost like diaper rash cream, but you can get away with putting it on the face and not feel like you've got sticky stuff all over your face. It has 21% glycerin. In theory it can help hydrate up the skin a bit and improve the look of fine lines. I still stand by the Cicaplast Balm for facial irritation though."
*BEST* Glycerin Gel? | La Roche Posay Vs Prequel Review
"I actually discovered La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Gel for the first time and discovered for me personally it works really really well around my eyes under my eyes especially. I find that when I use this product it helps plump the skin there, improve moisture retention as it's intended to, and it also just kind of smooths out the appearance of the skin. It has a subtle under eye brightening effect and I noticed after I finished an entire bottle of it, when I stopped using it for several months, that effect went away. But then I reintroduced it into my routine and I get the same results, so it's definitely something unique to that product. Cicaplast Gel is great for healing cuts and scrapes, helping to improve the final appearance perhaps of a scar, anywhere where you have a lot of skin irritation."
*BEST* Glycerin Gel? | La Roche Posay Vs Prequel Review
"I'm going to stick with the La Roche-Posay one because I get a little bit more bang for my buck in terms of the under eye brightening effect with that. I take a tiny tiny tiny amount, not very much at all, which is one of the reasons why I'm paying the markup on the La Roche-Posay product because it takes me a long time to go through it. I put a dot under my eye and then I pat it into the under eye area and take it up to the upper lid. You want to make sure you're not using a big glob to the point where you can actually see the product. You want to avoid putting such a thick glob on the skin."

"It's a new product from La Roche-Posay and it's their Cicaplast Gel B5. Very similar to the Cicaplast Balm but this one actually is a gel. It's actually very nice and hydrating. It's really intended to be used on skin like post-procedure, but it is just so nice to use all over. You can't really go wrong with using this product. I've seen other dermatologists talk about using it like almost as a hydrating eye cream because it's very lightweight, fast-absorbing, fragrance-free. It contains 21% glycerin, so great hydration, along with panthenol and other ingredients that you can find very similarly in the Cicaplast Balm. Just a really nice hydrating gel that applies very smoothly and keeps your skin very soft and supple."

"I love the Cicaplast product, so I'm really curious first and foremost with the gel texture, what it's gonna feel like. But also, you can use it post-procedure, so after lasers and peels, I may imagine this would be great for like dermatologist office."
