"La Roche-Posay B5 is always high ranking in Korea in the winter. One thing is it has zinc oxide, so if you apply it you go white and it gets very pasty. But even though it is very pasty, it is very effective. My sister has atopic inflammation so she can't use hardly any active products, but that one is her holy grail."

"I think it's a really really nice restorative repairing cream, but that's because it does have some solid ingredients. So we have panthenol obviously at 5% which is amazing for like barrier repair and hydration cuz it keeps everything locked in. Madecassoside from Centella which brings that kind of like anti-inflammatory soothing kind of property to the balm. And then of course there's zinc and manganese which act as those like almost like antibacterial agents."

"They took out a lot of the hydrating ingredients and replaced them with more matte equivalents. They also kind of cheapened the product by taking out some of the more expensive ingredients and replacing them with cheaper alternatives. That's great for your profit margins but it's really not great for us the consumer. What used to be a beautiful nourishing hydrating barrier supporting serum just doesn't work the same."

"Their viral product is this Cicaplast Baume B5 which went through a reformulation that reformulation took what was a holy grail for a lot of people to pretty mediocre in terms of its performance. They took out some of the beneficial ingredients they added in things like corn starch to give it a more matte feel but that takes away from some of the hydrating elements. It was just underwhelming. I think La Roche-Posay surprised a lot of people with this reformulation and not in a good way."

"La Roche-Posay reformulated this 18 months ago and they took away some of the beneficial ingredients and they added in some other ingredients that I'm less fond of. It does give a more overall matte appearance after application, but honestly it's just not the same product. It doesn't work as well, and I know so many people out there are just disappointed."

"I moved away from this because of a reformulation they added quite a few ingredients to kind of mattify it down but it's still not matte, still greasy, and as a result it's less hydrating. They also added some probiotics in which I thought I would like, but as a result they've also taken out some of the beneficial ingredients that were in here. I just don't think it's as good a moisturizer as it used to be."

"This is the new formulation and it contains dimethicone now, which is a silicone, and that is the only difference with the new formulation. I feel like there's been a lot of mixed reviews on this, but I honestly haven't had an issue with it. I actually feel like it performs pretty much the same as the original one, except for this has silicone now. I think this is still great. It's still moisturizing and it's still lovely to pair up with your actives as well to help with dryness."
