What the gurus are saying

This spray calms redness, inflammation and itching on contact thanks to its panthenol and Centella extract, making it especially useful when skin is irritated or you're using something strong like a retinol. One reviewer found it genuinely hydrating and soothing, while another felt the spray's light delivery means the hydration is modest compared to a serum, though still more than a plain thermal mist. Best used as a refreshing, calming layer rather than your main hydration step.

"This has 5% panthenol in it and it has madecassic acid, which is the biologically active compound of Centella. It's really soothing, it's actually so amazing for irritation. It really calms the skin down, reduces redness, inflammation, itching. Panthenol is hydrating and barrier supportive. I like this as a soothing and calming spray, something you could use like a really lightweight toner. I don't find it incredibly hydrating probably because of the very light layer that this spray delivers. I would say it's hydrating, there is an element to it, much more hydrating than just a thermal spray. I mostly use this when my skin is irritated. It really does soothe on contact in a nice way."

"I love the spray because it is so hydrating. It's got anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, perfect for if you're going to be using something irritating like a retinol. On top of the fact that it has panthenol, the B5, it also has madagasca side, which is an extract of centella asiatica, so anti-inflammatory, soothing properties. This is something that I love to just rehydrate my skin with."
