"After your cleanse in the morning, you go ahead and put on a hydrating serum, a hyaluronic acid serum specifically. This one is the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast B5. One of my favorite all-time products from them. Hyaluronic acid is a nice carbohydrate that will draw in water, plump up the skin. So, while your skin's damp, go ahead and apply a few drops of this to your face. And what I love about this is that it is very plumping. One of the easiest ways to hide fine lines and wrinkles is to apply hyaluronic acid serum followed by a moisturizer to seal that in. And the smell of this, it just brings me back. I started using this in 2020 when I had to shut down my clinic and started up social media. When I smell the fragrance from this serum, it really does bring me back to taking long walks with my kids and starting up social media. That's the beauty about skincare. It's a sensorial experience. It feels great. You want products that make you feel more confident and also you like the texture of it, how it blends into your skin, but also the smells and scents and fragrances."

"If you really want to work on the skin barrier and you're feeling pretty raw and you like serums, La Roche-Posay has a Cicaplast spray B5 with the niacinamide and panthenol. So you can start off with this. Do a little spritzing over the face. It's refreshing after the gym. This is different from having damp skin when you apply your retinoid. "For best hydrating serum I would recommend the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast B5 hyaluronic acid serum. This serum combines hyaluronic acid with vitamin B5 which is a soothing ingredient that helps repair the skin barrier. It's particularly effective for sensitive skin as it's hydrating without any irritation. The key ingredients here are the hyaluronic acid, vitamin B5, and niacinamide. Hyaluronic acid has nothing to do with actual acids. It's a misnomer in my opinion because a lot of people think it's going to be irritating because it has the word acid. It's really a completely hydrating serum. The best time to apply this is on damp skin and you can still apply moisturizer on top. Though a lot of moisturizers nowadays have hyaluronic acid in them. If your skin is really dry, mature and you want extra hydration, applying hyaluronic acid serum on damp skin followed by a regular AM moisturizer is going to really help lock that moisture in and plump your skin."

"This one also has a little bit of vitamin B5, which is a really soothing ingredient that's going to help repair the barrier. It provides that immediate sustained hydration and it's really good if you have sensitive skin and if you're really really dry. You want to apply it to damp skin for optimal hydration effects."

"My next recommendation for acid is the Lash Pay Hyalo B5 serum. This one can also be used morning or evening. This one does have just a little bit of that LRP scent. It's really nice. It's delicate. It's soft. It's more nourishing option if your skin is really dry and sensitive. I find a little bit more hydrating than the L'Oreal one. It also helps target those fine lines and dullness really just by replenishing the moisture. It has a little bit thicker texture but absorbs really quick. It sits really well under your moisturizer or underneath the SPF. Just like with the other one, I like to put moisturizer right on top. And I like to apply my HA serum on damp skin. I feel like it does the best job at moisturizing. The key ingredients are vitamin B5 or [panthenol], hyaluronic acid, and mcaside."

"I have been using it now for a while. I've used about half the bottle, and I do like this with reservations. This has 5% of panthenol in it. It has madecassic acid, which is the biologically active compound of Centella. And it's really soothing. It's actually so amazing for irritation. It really calms the skin down, reduces redness, inflammation, itching. Panthenol is hydrating and barrier supportive. I like this as a soothing and calming spray. You could use it like a really lightweight toner. I don't find it incredibly hydrating probably because of the very light layer that this spray delivers, and I just tend to like a lot of hydration. I would say it's hydrating. There is an element to it. It's much more hydrating than just a thermal spray for sure. I mostly use this when my skin is irritated. Something like this is perfect. It really does soothe on contact in a nice way."

"It does a nice job calming skin down and could be nice for use after a treatment or if you use a laser, microneedling, whatever. It's nice for that. Or if your skin's just irritated, it's a nice option for that. For what it promises to provide, 24-hour hydration, repair skin barrier, invisible texture, I would say this helps repair the skin barrier, does not provide 24-hour hydration. So don't count on that, but it does help moisturize it. And you can use it throughout the day, unless you're using it over makeup. Then you might have mixed results. It does have a slight layer effect, like almost a light sticky feeling to it once it soaks in, but it's not terrible. It's not shiny or anything like that. This one's going to be friendly for all skin types, dry, oily, normal, sensitive, acne prone. No acneic ingredients, so that makes it nice for everyone to benefit from it. The full size is 100 milliliters, 3.38 ounces, which is 25 bucks, which isn't terribly expensive, but it is starting to creep up there. I would expect to see this run at like 19.99. That's what I would have expected, but anyway, everything's getting more expensive. In terms of the IT factor, it's not a must-have."

"The La Roche-Posay Cicaplast mist contains their centella ingredients which help calm skin, help with redness, prevent irritation, soothe irritation, and it also is great for hydrating skin. Really pretty short ingredient list on this one as well. No fragrance, niacinamide, which is great for helping your skin heal and calm down. This is probably the line of theirs I use the most because it doesn't have fragrance in it. A lot of their other stuff has too much fragrance in it but this stuff is nice."

"This one's a really nice one. You can just mist it. I'll mist it like right when I get out of the shower, all over my whole body. It's got panthenol and niacinamide. It's got micaceous, another centella-derived ingredient, and cocoa. It's really nice. It's got a nice even mister on it, too. "I've been using this every time I travel to London because the water there makes my skin feel so dry, irritated, red and rough. I go straight for Cicaplast and my moisturizers to help heal and soothe, and this serum has been doing a really nice job. Two weeks in so far so good. My skin's been stinging a lot recently but this doesn't sting at all. I really really like this. "I want to get back on my La Roche-Posay Cicaplast gel because when I was using that around my eyes, man, it really had a drastic effect in tightening the skin on my eyes. I got a little trouble on my upper eyelids and so they've been kind of dry and irritated, but that is a great skin protectant for around your eyes for reducing eyelid irritation. We have all sorts of aerosolized allergens here, pollen, molds, and if you're into cooking certain spices and things they can end up causing eyelid irritation because they settle on the eyelids. The skin there is thin, so I really like that product as an eyelid skin protectant for eyelid dermatitis, for preventing it by protecting the skin and for healing it as well. It's glycerin based, and in contrast to other balms, it is a lot more hydrating and it doesn't go on opaque white. It's clear and colorless."
