"If you want to use chemical sunscreen but you want to completely avoid oxybenzone, I hands down love love love La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-in Milk SPF 60. It has no oxybenzone, it has no octinoxate. It uses avobenzone, homosalate is at 10%. It also has octisalate and octocrylene. It's one of the best performing body sunscreens in consumer report testing. It has elegant texture and it's widely available. This is one of my personal and family's go-to sunscreens."

"The La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-in Milk SPF 60 is really one of my go-tos, especially for the summer time because I love how fast absorbing and lightweight it is and the higher SPF and water resistant nature. You're getting great broadspectrum coverage along with antioxidant. It is a chemical filter, but I've never had any issues. It does have glycerin that's hydrating. I would say with this texture, I do find it more suitable for those that have oily and combination skin."

"Bondi Sands and La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-in Milk Sunscreen SPF 60 would be a really good combo actually. There are so many good sunscreens out right now, it is unreal, whether it's mineral, American, European, Korean. I've probably got four or five now, pure non-tinted mineral sunscreens that blend, it's crazy, and they're non-nano zinc. I'm not sure what's changed in terms of formulation, but I'm just quite happy with how sunscreen has evolved over the last years."

"This is a nice little size. I actually keep this one in my car, and when I'm driving and I'm feeling that sun exposure on my arm, I use it. This sunscreen is 5 fluid ounces, goes on really well, this is chemical based I believe, really lightweight. I like this one a lot, really good. The UV Mune 400 goes after long UVA wavelengths, so it's covering broad spectrum UVA UVB, but especially the wavelengths that we worry about causing worsening hyperpigmentation. This is a really nice one. I wish the US would be able to expand their UV filters, but unfortunately we got to go to Europe and grab these. I wear it every day, even coming into the clinic where there's barely any windows in the dead of Seattle winter, I'm still wearing sunscreen."

"The next product is a very popular one, recommended by a lot of dermatologists, the La Roche-Posay Anthelios. It's 36 pounds for 300ml, so it's actually a really good price, but the sixth ingredient here is denatured alcohol, so it is drying to the skin, plus it's a chemical sunscreen. Chemical is fine, it's just not my favorite. I tend to recommend mineral over chemical because it doesn't enter the bloodstream like chemical does. But if wearing an SPF 50 is the most important thing, and all you can get your hands on is chemical, then wear it, because that's more important than anything else."

"I like to finish it up with the La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-in Milk Sunscreen SPF 60, and this is because whether or not you're going outside, or even if you just get a little bit of sunlight sitting close to windows, whatever, you need sunscreen regardless. This one is very, very popular as well, but very, very good, most importantly because this does not break me out and it's invisible. It's not something that, you know, some of these sunscreens leave a white cast, and if you're not careful, if you apply sunscreen before you start doing your makeup you can actually change the color of your complexion products. This one does not do that."

"The fragrance was whoa, that's a lot of scent to it, which some people like, but I'm not the biggest fan. It also has drying alcohol in it, which a lot of people like to avoid. I think in sunscreens in small quantities it's fine, but it's quite high up the ingredients list, which makes me a bit worried. The first couple of uses felt great, alcohol in sunscreens helps it feel more lightweight on the skin because it absorbs, it evaporates off the skin and helps it sink in quicker, and I loved it, I was like this sunscreen is everything, it's amazing. And then I was in Bermuda and on day four my skin started feeling really tight, like I was wearing a mask, really dry. I thought maybe it was too much sun, but I'd been really careful, and by day six my skin was literally flaking and so dry. I didn't put it down to the sunscreen at first, but when I changed the sunscreen it honestly disappeared. It was the accumulation of that drying alcohol constantly being reapplied, so it's one that's quite nice to play in the morning, every other day, but I wouldn't be using it as a daily one personally."
