What the gurus are saying

The spidery, lengthened lash effect divides reviewers: most gurus praise the formula for being clean and non-goopy, with a dual-sided brush that lifts and separates well, though the results lean toward long and skinny rather than volumised. One expert found it disappointing on a second try, so results may vary. Those drawn to defined length over bulk may want to give it a test first.

"I'm back on the L'Oreal Telescopic Lift. Far and away one of the better mascaras. A more of a spidery lash and it's a really nice formula. It's not messy. It's not goopy. And it's a reasonable price. It's a drugstore mascara."

"I recently changed up my mascara and I'm on the L'Oreal Telescopic Lift Mascara and I've used it before it really lengthens gives kind of long skinny lashes as opposed to the Colossal lengthens and gives some girth to the lashes."

"I'm using the L'Oreal telescopic lift mascara just to give a little bit more definition to my lower lash line."

"Look how long and lengthened my lashes are. This literally just changed my life. This looks like false lashes. So basically I'm taking the curved side and I'm going root to tip and I'm coating the lashes, and then once you've done that you flip the brush to the side and you use the hook comb to basically separate. I'm gonna add a second coat. Look at the length. I am speechless and I'm not sure anyone's gonna ever be able to compete with this mascara. The brush is really two-step: I use the curved side of the brush and I really get in there and lift and load my lashes, and I take the side bristles to really comb and separate them. My lashes gave me volume."
