What the gurus are saying

This cleanser earns consistent praise for being one of the gentlest foaming options available, removing makeup and SPF thoroughly without leaving skin tight or stripped. Gurus highlight the nourishing ingredient mix (green tea water, green tea powder, hemp seed oil, and glycerin) as particularly effective for repairing a compromised barrier and calming sensitivity and redness. It may feel slightly too hydrating for oilier skin types, but those with sensitive, dry, or stressed skin, or anyone wanting to prioritise barrier repair, will likely find it a reliable staple.

"If you have really dry skin and just want a gentle, good cleanser, I'd recommend the Crave Beauty Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser. I've loved this one for years. It is so gentle and nourishing to the skin, and with the inclusion of green tea, it helps to reduce any redness and irritation you might be experiencing."

The BEST Cleansers of 2023
"The Krave Beauty Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser is a $16 cleanser with an incredible ingredient list focused on deeply nourishing and hydrating the skin without having an overly stripping effect and amazing for people who are really looking to repair and recover their moisture barrier. The ingredient list is extremely impressive with the first ingredient being green tea leaf water, green tea obviously being amazing for reducing skin sensitivity and irritation, as well as glycerin. It has multiple very gentle cleansing agents that aren't going to overly dry out your skin as well as green tea powder so you also have the concentrated form of green tea benefits alongside hemp seed oil which is another ingredient that is amazing for reducing redness and sensitivity. If you are a sensitive person, this cleanser is going to be amazing for you. I remember using this one in the past and I was like it's good but it's a little bit too hydrating for my oilier skin but really being in a dry environment showed me how amazing this product is because not only does it give you a really satisfying foaming."

"This is probably one of my most staple products ever. As in like, it's always coming back and forth in my routine. It's always a cleanser I fall back on. In fact, when I'm testing new products, it's one of the cleansers I use because I know how well my skin reacts to it. Great for when your skin is stressed out, you want to focus on maintaining the skin barrier. Matcha for antioxidants. We've got hemp seed oil in here as well. Nice fatty acids, a good amount of glycerin, keeping those hydration levels up. I think that this is actually one of the first really non-stripping cleansers I ever used way back in the day."

"They did a couple of iterations of this, I think this is like version three, with a few tweaks and updates, and it's such a great product. I bought this and I'm probably going to save it until winter, when my skin is a little more dryness-prone and sensitivity-prone and I need something super gentle. This is by far and away the most gentle foaming cleanser I've ever found. It just works: it takes off all the makeup, SPF, everything, gone like that, and yet doesn't leave you stripped, dried, or your skin feeling tight. So if you're somebody that likes a little foaming action in your skincare routine but you need something that's so, so kind and gentle for your sensitive skin, I think this is a really great option. I think each time they've iterated it's been improved, and this is the best of the best. I'll start using it probably around October, when I feel like my skin just needs a little extra hydration and a little extra TLC, and honestly my skin will love it."

Top 10 KOREAN SKINCARE For HYPERPIGMENTATION - Fade Dark Spots Fast
"This is the Krave Beauty Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser. I love Krave Beauty, they are technically a US-based brand but all of their products are formulated and manufactured in Korea, so it really harnesses that South Korean ethos of gentle but really effective skincare. This is the nicest, creamiest cleanse you'll get for summer. I bought it with summer in mind and I haven't even opened it yet, it's ready to go. You get a lot of product when you consider you don't need a whole lot. I love their packaging because it's really easy to just peel down the side, it has all the instructions inside, and you can recycle every last piece of it. This is my summer staple and go-to and I absolutely love it. Gentle is key with hyperpigmentation, and it doesn't get more gentle nor effective than this cleanser."
