What the gurus are saying

This cream highlight bounces light to soften the appearance of imperfections, potentially reducing how much foundation you need. It's reflective without feeling glittery or heavy, and it works on lids and mixed with other products. It does run out relatively quickly.

"KJH Hey Shine Highlight in light pink because if you prime the face with highlighter, meaning put highlighters in as many places as you can, that light bounces off of the face so therefore imperfections will become less because you can't see them because the light is bouncing back. And so therefore you need less foundation because of that or less concealer. I can also mix that highlighter with my red lipstick to create a shimmery blush. It runs out a little fast, that's my only caveat about the product, but I love that one."

"KJH Hey Shine Highlight in light pink because I think if you prime the face with highlighter, meaning put highlighters in as many places as you can, that light bounces off of the face so therefore imperfections will become less visible because you can't see them because the light is bouncing back. And so therefore you need less foundation because of that or less concealer. So a highlighter, um, and also I can mix that highlighter with my red lipstick to create a shimmery blush. It runs out a little fast, that's my only caveat about the product, but I love that one."

"I am obsessed with Katie's, the KJH brand, because she doesn't have so much glitter but it gives a really nice reflective element and I do use it on my lids like this sometimes just to give that reflective element. I'll take a light brush so it doesn't crease and just go like that. It's nice without being heavy or metallicy."

"I'm going to use a cream highlight so I'm going to use KJH Hey Shine Highlight in light gold. She has cream highlights that also come with a gloss you can kind of customize the formula. It's somewhere between a serum and a gloss, it's definitely glossy. I'm just going to take a teeny bit of the gloss and mix it back into the cream highlight, and then I'm going to grab the sponge that I applied my foundation with, pick that up and pat that on the tops of the cheekbones. It is glossy so I'm not going to take it everywhere, I'm just going to pat it right over that."
