    What the gurus are saying

This highlighter's reflective finish without heavy metallics earns praise for creating a luminous bounce that visibly reduces the appearance of imperfections, meaning people often need less foundation or concealer underneath. The cream formula doubles as a blush mixer and even works on eyelids when applied with a light hand, and gurus appreciate that it pairs with an optional gloss to customize the texture.

"KGH Brand Hey Shine Highlight in light pink because I'm anti-primer. If you prime the face with highlighter, meaning put highlighters in as many places as you can, that light bounces off of the face, so imperfections become less visible because the light is bouncing back. Therefore you need less foundation or less concealer. I can also mix that highlighter with my red lipstick to create a shimmery blush."

"I am obsessed with Katie's highlighter, the KJH Brand, because she doesn't have so much glitter but it gives a really nice reflective element. I do use it on my eyelids sometimes just to give that reflective element. I'll take a light brush so it doesn't crease and just go like that. [...] It's nice without being heavy or metallicy."

"I'm going to use Katie Jane Hughes's KJH Brand Hey Shine Highlight in light gold. She has [...] cream highlights that also come with a gloss, and you can kind of customize the formula. So I'm going to put a little bit of this on the back of my hand, scooping it out with my nail, [...] and then going to put a teeny bit of gloss out. [...] It's somewhere [...] between a serum and a gloss, it's definitely glossy."
