"Kinship's self-reflect mineral sunscreen is a major hit of theirs. It's a very nice light-feeling mineral sunscreen. There's not a lot of mineral sunscreens that feel light on the skin, but this one does. And it has a rather natural look on skin. The brand was founded in 2019 by Allison and Christian Kristen Powell, who were both heavily involved in the beauty industry and had venture capital backing, including a notable investor in Leslie Blodget, who was the CEO of Bare Minerals. It was sold at Ulta until this year and now they're mainly sold on their website as well as Amazon. This brand still remains independent and run by those co-CEOs, so it's nice to know that the small brand is still independently run."

"Kinship was highly recommended by you guys. It's definitely a glowy sunscreen. It's SPF 32 so a little bit on the low side for me, kind of one of those days I wouldn't spend too much time outside. It's a fairly thick consistency and it does take a little while to dry down. You're going to have a little bit of flashback, it's a pretty thick application. But it does dry down, it is glowy. Once this dries down it does have a very minimal white cast. It's very moisturizing and just a touch of glow. I did notice a little bit of pilling which is really disappointing because I had really high hopes with this. I've noticed on my community page that a couple of you have commented that you're having the same experience with pilling."

"I love this for dry skin. One problem with a lot of mineral sunscreens is because they have zinc oxide which is somewhat of a drying ingredient they can feel a little bit chalky on dry skin, but this one is so emollient and so moisturizing and I love it especially in the winter. Even though this is tinted it is a very light tint. One problem that I often have with tinted sunscreens is they almost have too much tint in them, they're either too orange or too dark, so if you have fair skin and you want something to sort of mitigate the white cast I think this is a really nice option. This uses 22.4 zinc oxide and is not water resistant. This also has a little bit of natural fragrance to it, it has a very light hint of vanilla and I find the smell really pleasant. This sunscreen is known for playing nice with blemish prone or acne prone skin. So if you're someone out there who's struggling with breakouts and can't find a sunscreen that works for you I think this is a really nice option. Oftentimes people who are acne prone tend to be oily and people who are acne prone and dry feel like they're not a lot of good sunscreen options for them but this one's it."

"This is the Self Reflect Probiotic Zinc Oxide Broad Spectrum Sunscreen from Kinship, and this is beautiful. It smells like a marshmallow candy land, and it actually looks very, very unsuspicious. But as you can see, it is this white texture that kind of has a slight shimmer, a little bit of pink tint to it. And if you are someone who has dark under eye circles, or if you just want to use this all over the face and you want something luminous, it's technically labeled as a sunscreen. It's not labeled as a brightening luminizer or a highlighter, but it's a highlighter. This is phenomenal. It is beautiful on the skin, but it is technically skin care, not makeup."

"I initially discovered this one because I love the brand Kinship, I'm a huge fan of them. What really caught my attention is how well the sunscreen works on deeper skin tones, I'd give it a white cast rating of one, which is really impressive considering this is a zinc oxide based sunscreen. It has a bunch of really high quality nourishing ingredients, I find it works well for combination to dry skin types, it definitely hydrates the skin and has a great blend of natural extracts, antioxidants, and probiotics. This continues to be one of the best sunscreens I've found for combination to dry skin types, especially if you're looking for a sunscreen with very minimal to no white cast. I highly, highly recommend this one."
