"This is my all seasons unicorn moisturizer. I love this so much, I've used it in every season for over a year now, not just for content or reviews but because I naturally reach for it. For me it's the texture that wins every time, it's much more velvety than most K-beauty moisturizers, so it spreads onto the skin nicely. It looks like it would be a dense, heavy cream but it's actually velvety, silky, and smooth, coating the skin in that occlusive, beta glucan velvety finish while still sinking in to moisturize, so it's moisturizing inside and protective on the outside without being plasticky, heavy, or greasy. It's not overloaded with humectants or greasy emollients, it has a balanced, velvety neutral finish, which is especially good for makeup prep because it helps makeup grip to the skin better and last longer, even in humid summer weather. It fights dehydration and is moisturizing enough for winter while still being light and breathable enough for hotter months. Anybody looking for a cream with occlusion, dehydrated skin, or combo skin like mine will likely find this a unicorn moisturizer, and drier skin types can also appreciate it since it's not too heavy but still protective."

"This is a fairly newer release from iUNIK, and it's not a replacement for, but an addition to the beta glucan moisturizer that has been out for a long time. This is a little bit more moisturizing and a little bit more occlusive. The texture is great. It has an ointment-like or occlusive finish, but it spreads very thin, so it just creates this nice layer of moisturization and protective occlusion. That's really good if you have dehydrated skin, but it's not a thick, heavy, rich, buttery cream texture. It actually absorbs and dries into a semi velvety finish. It's very smooth, very light but protective. It's not overwhelming, it's not sticky, it's not overly greasy, but it's really going to lock in all of those layers of hydration. Even though it dries to a matte or velvety finish rather than wet, it actually just kind of locks in that glow."

"It is something that is very good for dehydration prone skin. Ingredient wise, obviously beta glucan, there's some panthenol in here and ectoin. These three are actually really amazing for bringing hydration into the skin. And then the occlusives in this formula just really helped to seal everything in too. So it's not just about the finish or the weight of it, but it's also about the ingredients being really good for my combo skin that goes dehydrated in this season, but it's not clogging my pores or making me break out. "I've now used the iUNIK Beta-Glucan 3X Barrier Cream in winter, spring, summer, and fall, and it really just seems to hit each season in a really beautiful way. I think it comes down to the texture. It's a little bit more balmy, a very [occlusive] cream. It's not fluffy, not rich, not oily, not thick. It applies in a thin layer that feels very protective on your skin, with a very velvety neutral finish. It is very protective for your skin, especially if you suffer with dehydration, and I do.
