What the gurus are saying

Gurus who love this product praise its lightweight, creamy texture, impressive coverage range, hydrating feel, and ability to neutralize redness and even skin tone. Loyal users note it can be applied sheer or full-coverage depending on application method. Detractors point out the shade range is shallow with poor undertone matching in deeper shades, the formula can sit heavily and look flat on darker skin, and the SPF claim is misleading since reaching that protection level requires impractical amounts of product. The split largely tracks skin tone and undertone match.

"IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream. The deep shade range is extremely limited and there's no real undertone variation in the darker shade. The formula is thick and sits on top of the skin rather than blending in naturally. It doesn't actually cover hyperpigmentation or texture. It just sits there and it tends to look flat and gray on deeper skin tone."

"This is a foundation that will always be in my collection. It's very full coverage. It's described as a serum but it's got like a pretty mousey texture to it. The mousse is so lightweight. When I start to blend it out, it feels like a lightweight creamy mousse. With a full coverage foundation you sometimes have this kind of heavy feel, like it just sits on the skin, but this sinks into the skin. This does not feel that way. It has a very lightweight feel to it. The formula is so beautiful. It's really really creamy. It's hydrating. It's comfy. It leaves my skin with like more of a satin finish. It provides a really nice blur to the skin without being too matte. It does have SPF 50."

"I absolutely love my IT Cosmetics CC Cream. This is my favorite. I've been using this for at least 6 years and it's always my go-to. It covers up redness and blemishes so nicely. You can achieve a full coverage look with this, but you can also achieve a light to medium coverage depending on how much you are applying and what you're using. If you use a damp beauty blender you're going to achieve more of that lighter finish, but if you're using a makeup brush like a foundation brush you're going to get more of that medium to full coverage. This is also an SPF 50 all mineral and there's also great skincare ingredients in here as well. This never ever disappoints."

TOP 5 BEST SPF COMPLEXION PRODUCTS 2024 | SKIN TINT, TINTED MOISTURIZER, CC CREAM FOR FLAWLESS SKIN
"I love the IT Cosmetics CC creams. I've been using these for years and I have two types of formulations here. The original formula will give your skin that skinlike finish, and this is the illumination formulation which will give more of that illuminosity, more of that glow that reflectant to the skin. Yes, there is a little bit of a shimmer in the formula, but I promise you, you're not super sparkly. It's just when that sun hits your skin it just reflects and it just adds more of that glow to the skin, which I really love. These have an SPF 50 and all of these contain a titanium dioxide of 9% and a zinc oxide of 6.3%. I love these because if you do have redness, this formula does a good job to eliminate the redness and it really helps to even out your skin tone. This has the thickest formulation out of everything, where you would be able to achieve a full coverage look if that is what you want to do."

"I used to religiously wear my It Cosmetics CC Cream as my sunscreen, that was it, that was all I would put on and I thought it's SPF 50, I am protected. And you know what, listen, it gives you a little bit of protection, there's no doubt about it, but the amount of makeup that you have to use to actually reach that kind of protection would look so funny on your skin. It would be clown-looking makeup. You would look like you have a face mask on to be able to achieve the actual SPF number that is on that makeup if you're just relying on your makeup."
