What the gurus are saying

The yam root extract delivers hydration and a calming feel that rivals snail mucin, making it a solid choice for anyone steering clear of animal-derived ingredients. The milky texture sits rich and nourishing rather than watery, which means it works beautifully for dry skin but may feel heavy if you layer more than once or twice; those with combination skin may want to start with a single layer and adjust from there. Apply with a cotton pad or pat it on as an essence, whichever feels easier.

Best New Toners of 2023 😍🏆🙌 My Favorite Facial Toners of the Year for All Skin Types
"The Isntree Vegan Yam Root Milk Toner is a little thicker than the average toner. It's got yam root, which in my opinion is very similar in a lot of ways to snail mucin. If you want some of the benefits from hydration as snail mucin but you're vegan or you don't like snail mucin, yam is a good alternative. It's got a nice kind of milky finish. It's a little bit pricey, but if you get it on sale it's a really good deal. It's fragrance free, really ends up feeling nicely hydrating on your skin and calming, with a non-greasy finish. I would say this is geared towards drier skin types but it has a non-sticky, non-greasy finish which is really nice."

"The Isntree Vegan Yam Root Milk Toner, currently 13 bucks. In my opinion this one's best for dry to extremely dry skin. It's got a nice thick texture. So in here we've got yam root which is, for those curious, yam root is kind of nature's plant alternative to snail mucin in terms of how it benefits the skin and hydrates the skin. We've got panthenol, great for dry to very dry skin. I don't use this one so much during the summer, but when winter comes I've been loving it, as well as the moisturizer from that lineup."
Hydrating & Plumping Toner & Essence Product Favorites - Best Toners of the Year!
"Next up, the Isntree vegan yam root milk toner. It's 16 bucks, and this one's great for all skin types: dry, sensitive, oily, acne prone. It's friendly for all of them. This is my second bottle of it. It's got yam root, panthenol, macadamia nut oil, argan oil, ceramides, oat, and rice extract. Yam root is used in skincare kind of as an alternative to snail mucin for people that are vegan, that's why they mention that it's vegan. It's very watery, going right down onto the floor, so it's very nice. If you're vegan and can't indulge in snail mucin for that reason, yam root is the next best thing worth trying. It's very similar to it."
Ranking My Top Ten Summer Skincare Most Used Products
"This is currently my favorite toner, probably my toner of the summer, the vegan Yam Root Vegan Milk Toner from Isntree. I love this. This stuff is so nice, hydrating, calming, soothing. Anytime my skin is irritated, like after this micro needling thing I did, I did a good job covering up but there's still some, this stuff just feels so calming and soothing, and I can't say enough good things about it. So highly recommend checking this out."
Isntree Skincare 🍠 🆕 Yam Root Vegan Milk Toner Review & How to Use
"It's got a milky texture to it which is quite nice. I've been using this a lot in my morning routine and evening routine and it's really nice. You can use it with a cotton pad and smooth it over your face or you can use it more like an essence and pat it onto your skin, either way it is great. I prefer using it with a cotton pad. The texture of this stuff is wonderful. I like the milky texture this has and it just feels nice and soothing and calming when you apply it to skin. You can certainly use this morning or evening routine, doesn't matter whatever is easiest for you, cotton pad or no cotton pad, you can use it like a toner or as an essence or both and it's just great. It's cruelty free as well as vegan, so that's wonderful."
The Best 10/10 K-Beauty Toners & Essences 🙌 Favorite Toners & Essences That Work For All Skin Types
"The Isntree vegan yam root milk toner is really nice. If you're vegan and you prefer not to use snail mucin, yam root extract is nature's alternative or dupe to it. It's very similar in terms of the hydration and minerals it offers. We've got yam root in here, we've got panthenol, we've got argan oil, we've got ceramides, and we've got oat extract. It's really lovely. This whole line is quite nice, the cleanser at first I disliked it but I really end up loving it, the cream also wonderful, just great all around line from Isntree. They rarely let me down and they have not yet."

"I was really impressed with this one because it's really top-notch formulation. It's really impressive what they have done as far as how they've packed the moisture into this product and how they've created a very elegant, easy to use type of texture. This is not thick, this is not something that fills every little pore with thick, creamy, heavy weighted down moisture. It doesn't have body to it, it's actually very fluid, but it does pack in a lot of rich nourishment. It just doesn't pack it in in a thick layer. What really hit it home for me about how special this product is, is when I started testing out products looking for a true dupe of the original cream skin refiner formula, which is becoming so hard to find. I needed to find something that was on that same level, that gave that same quality to the skin."

Milky Toners for Cold Weather!
"Unlike toners that can really once you apply it and it feels like it just rushes into your skin and bursts into hydration, this toner dives deep into your skin, rushes into your skin and bursts into moisture. It is not that watery kind of refreshing sort of feel. It's more of that silky, rich, nourishing, comforting hug, deep deep bear hug of moisture on your skin. If you wanted to layer this toner, the watery format absolutely allows for that, but because there is such a high content of oil in this, it builds up on the skin. It starts to surprisingly feel a little bit heavy on the skin if you do too much. I have combination skin but I have very thirsty skin, skin care tends to sink into my skin really nicely, but I do find that two layers if I'm really really really dry feels great, three layers feels kind of thick, feels a little bit too much for my skin. This is something that you can play around with."
