What the gurus are saying

Evidence backs this device as an effective low-level laser therapy for pattern hair loss, and it works best alongside minoxidil rather than alone. It ranks among the most powerful devices on the market and stimulates hair growth by improving circulation and cellular metabolism in follicles; some people see results above and beyond minoxidil, though it won't regrow an entire bald scalp.

"iRestore is one of the few devices I actively promote, because it's got data behind it and more data continues to emerge supporting low-level laser therapy at home for androgenetic alopecia. Minoxidil is still the go-to treatment, but low-level laser therapy at home is an effective adjunct, and for some people it gets them results above and beyond using minoxidil alone. I tried it myself several years ago and directly saw that it works. It's FDA cleared for safety, which is huge for me to recommend a device. Their devices are some of the most powerful on the market and offer comprehensive coverage. I use the Elite device now, but originally used the Professional device before the Elite came out and got great results with it too, and it's a little less expensive if you're on a budget. These are arguably, in my opinion, the best devices on the market. It improves circulation, which is important for getting hair into the growing phase, reduces inflammation, and the red light jumpstarts cellular metabolism, waking up the follicle. I would not expect it to regrow an entire bald scalp, but it can move the dial on hair growth for sure."

"I've been using the iRestore myself for the past year and I give it my highest recommendation. Low-level laser therapy is a scientifically proven way to improve thinning hair. The light energy is like water and nutrients for the hair, absorbed by the hair follicles, and it functions to keep your hair in a growth phase. I started using the iRestore professional hair system about a year ago. It treats the majority of my scalp and I use it 25 minutes every other day, typically when I'm reading or watching TV or scrolling through my phone. I've seen it create nice changes in the thickness of my hair. The iRestore combines 282 lasers and LED lights to stimulate the hair follicles to stay in a growth phase. This FDA cleared, clinically proven technology is non-invasive, hands-free and easy to use. Results may vary, but I love that iRestore stands behind their product with a 12-month money-back guarantee."
