What the gurus are saying

This serum blends three types of vitamin C (15% total strength) without the irritation that typically comes from vitamin C serums, especially if you have rosacea-prone or reactive skin. Gurus flag it as a heavy hitter for dark spots and hyperpigmentation, but customer service concerns are worth keeping in mind. Pricier than basic options, the airless pump format and available refills make it easier to justify the extra cost for those with sensitive skin.

"The In Beauty Project ProC serum has resveratrol in there, ascorbic acid, tranexamic acid, ferulic acid. It's got a lot of nice brightening ingredients if you're willing to take the chance with this company. I do like the product and I've liked the brand, but I've heard from a couple people that mentioned they had issues with customer service not being very helpful. When you hear bad things about customer service, it doesn't make me want to recommend them. Or maybe order it from Sephora where you could return it more easily."

"This is a heavy hitter if you are focused on dark spots and hyperpigmentation. One of the reasons I've been trying it and loving it is because the blend of vitamin C is better geared for sensitive skin, rosacea-prone skin, and redness-prone skin, which is me. Since I've been trying this product, I have not gotten any irritation, no increased redness, no burning or stinging throughout the day or with other skincare products, which can be so common when you're using pure ascorbic acid vitamin C serums. The three types of vitamin C in this are a 15% complex of ascorbic acid, 3-O-ethyl ascorbate, and THD ascorbate, so all of the great vitamin C's combined into 15%. I like that this is an airless pump, no dropper or bottle format, and there's a refill you can buy that will save you some money. It's not the cheapest vitamin C out there, but if you have really sensitive skin and you're just looking for a different type of formulation or different additives, something like this might be worth the extra money for you."
