What the gurus are saying

Dr. Aleksandra Brown rates it; HotandFlashy is mixed. The dissent from HotandFlashy: "It made me look a little extra shiny and a little extra textury even after applying powder. At the 4 hour check in, the makeup was a little bit worn off, with foundation coming off underneath my fingernails all day."

"This is the In Beauty Project Mineral Sunlow SPF 43 PA+++. This is a pure mineral sunscreen. So, if you're like me, you have rosacea, mineral sunscreen tends to be a little bit easier on that really sensitive skin. It's super lightweight coverage and like it says mineral sunlow, it does leave you just a little bit glowy. It gives just a little bit of coverage, but my little brown spots that I have on my face, you can still see them if you were close up. So, it's not makeup at all, but it gives you just that really nice glow. It's perfect for those who want that SPF with a little bit of a skin blurring and at the same time that luminous glowing effect. I find it pretty hydrating."

"The In Beauty Project Mineral Sunlow SPF 43 PA++ is pure mineral, so if you're somebody who really wants just zinc, this is it. But it's not going to leave you with white cast. And if you have a little bit darker skin tone, they do have a darker version. It's really lightweight coverage, provides that protection, leaving you with really nice glow. It's perfect for those who want the SPF protection, but also those who want like a skin blurring, almost like a filter effect. The key ingredients are vitamin C, rice extract. It also has superior antioxidant protection, visibly brightens and protects skin from blue light. It also has some peptides, so it'll help hydrate, it'll help plump, and it has vitamin C built into it."

"It made me look a little extra shiny and a little extra textury even after applying powder. At the 4 hour check in, the makeup was a little bit worn off, with foundation coming off underneath my fingernails all day. At 8 hours, the makeup was definitely not wearing very well. So it shortens the wear time of makeup by a few hours, but it didn't feel uncomfortable or drying to wear. I'm giving this one a three out of five for sunscreen and a three out of five for how it sits under makeup."
