What the gurus are saying

This essence splits the room: some gurus praise its simple, single-extract formula and note it delivers a plumping hydration without hyaluronic acid, with a neutral scent and quick absorption. However, others found it did little to nothing for their skin, even if it caused no irritation either. It seems to work best for those with acne-prone or irritated skin looking for calming and oil regulation rather than visible transformation.

"I have personally used the Mugwort Face Mask as well as the I'm From Mugwort Essence. While they're not my favorite products from the line, they're definitely really good."

"It's not a bad product, I picked this one because even though it has an earthy mugwort scent, it doesn't matter because it feels so cool on the skin. I can feel my skin loves it so much. They're doing an amazing job."

"The ingredient list shows one ingredient, which is mugwort, which has its own natural kind of scent to it. So it's not fragrance free, but it's technically unscented, but mugwort has its own unique kind of scent to it. This one's a really nice one for acne prone skin. A lot of people find mugwort very helpful for calming redness and acne and breakouts and healing them. So it might be better for those skin types as opposed to like dry, non acne prone skin, but still a really nice product."

"A lot of people absolutely love that essence, but it didn't do anything extraordinary. It didn't bother me either. It came in little bottles so it was convenient for travel."

"I'm From Mugwort Essence - I literally think it's mugwort that's the ingredient. I just didn't love it. A lot of people with acne-prone skin or irritated skin love mugwort, but I didn't notice any benefits from this one. I didn't get irritated from it, but I didn't notice anything great happening from it."

"I'm From Mugwort Essence I'm less sold on. First of all I just don't like the name mugwort, it's like the least sexy name in skincare, and I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover but there's nothing that appeals to me about mugwort as a name. [...] I assume that this would come with a really dodgy scent to it because mugwort as an ingredient just sounds like it would smell, but actually it doesn't have a dodgy scent, it has a completely neutral scent to it so you don't need to worry about that. [...] It is great if you've got very acne prone skin, it can help regulate oil levels, it can hydrate a little bit, it's got some calming properties. I just think overall [...] this is fine but I don't think it's as amazing as maybe some people make it out to be."

"I love this because it is such a simple ingredients list. It is just mugwort, that's a little bit of water, there's some preservatives in here, but this is what's considered a single extract essence so they're really just using one extract, one star ingredient to really give you all of the benefits using a high quantity in this essence. Mugwort is an amazing ingredient, you know it is very soothing. A lot of people go towards mugwort for soothing irritation. But you can see that there's a little bit of a fullness to the texture here and you absolutely feel that in your skin as you pat it in. It's very hydrating, it's watery, it's quickly absorbed, but there's just that little bit of plumpness. It's like, oh yeah, I love that plump feeling, especially when you want to build lots of hydration but without hyaluronic acid."

"I tried a little sample of I'm From Mugwort Essence, definitely enjoy this for a hydrating toner would definitely consider this a repurchase."
