What the gurus are saying

The formula delivers noticeable thickening and rich black color, and some gurus praise how easily it washes away with water compared to earlier Huda mascaras. However, several experts found the formula too heavy and creamy, causing lashes to droop or lose curl, which means those with fine or already-flat lashes may want to test it first. Those with naturally curly lashes or who want defined bottom lashes may find it worth trying despite the plastic brush, though easing into the application technique helps.

"It's a heavy formula, it's very wet, and when I put it on my lashes, a lot goes down. So it is very thickening, but it's extremely heavy and wet. If you are like me and you have a problem with your lashes falling flat, not holding a curl, or just being weighed down, you're not going to like this at all. If you already have curly lashes or you don't have a problem with mascaras weighing your lashes down, it is very thickening, so if you have really skinny lashes and you want extra volume, it might be worth looking into. But I just know that it does not work for me at all."

"It's a nice mascara, but it has weighed down my lashes a little bit. It hasn't done anything extra and I wish the formula was a little bit different. It's almost too creamy. I needed it to be more fluid for that movement."

"I have the new Huda Beauty One Coat Wow Mascara and I have tried it already and it is fab. My only gripe is that it's a plastic brush and I always put off plastic brushes, but this mascara is really really nice. Definitely better than her previous mascara, the Lash Legit is notoriously difficult to get off, but this one melts away just with water. It feels really nice, nice and black. You just need to take your time a little bit with the brush if you're not used to a plastic brush. It's very good if you love chunky bottom lashes."
