What they liked

  • Natural, skin-like finish with subtle glow
  • Lightweight without drying the skin
  • Long wear and blend-ability

What they flagged

  • Settles into lines on mature skin
  • Strong fragrance
  • May not mattify oily skin through the day

What the gurus are saying

This powder earns consistent praise for looking surprisingly natural on the skin and blending effortlessly rather than sitting heavy or matte, with reviewers drawn to its subtle pink undertone and lightweight feel. The Cupcake shade works well for those with fair to medium skin, though it's become known as a go-to for oily skin and works especially well when applied with the included puff rather than a sponge (which some find settles into fine lines). One caveat: those over 35 with mature or dry skin may want to skip the baking technique entirely, and the powder does carry noticeable fragrance.

"This is my personal favorite. I do love the Mario one too, it's right there with the Huda Beauty, but the Huda Beauty one is the one that I still use the most."

The 3 Things I Bought at Sephora (Honest Wear Test)
"You guys know I also love my Huda Beauty, but this Mario one gives a little more of an airbrush finish."
I NEEDED This Makeup Day 🤩
"I love how dewy the complexion is, but you know me and my powder. Can't live without it. Let's go with a classic today. My Huda Beauty one in the shade cupcake. I'm just going to press this underneath the eyes. I also love how this has a slight pink undertone to it, which just kind of goes with the vibe of the makeup. I always like to put some powder through my brows. I find that that helps my brow pencil grip onto the skin a little bit better and last longer."
The PERFECT Spring Makeup 🌸
"I'm going to use my Huda Beauty powder. This time, I'm going to use the shade Sugar Cookie, which is the lightest color, and we're going to use this to kind of like brighten up and set the under eyes. We're going pretty light with the powder, but I personally still love a good setting powder for everyday, especially if you're going outside. It just helps with a bit of longevity."
What I'd Genuinely Buy YOU at Sephora Right Now
"For loose powder, my holy grail for like everyday is the Huda Beauty one. I wear the shade Cupcake the most. This is more of like a classic feeling powder. A little bit heavier, but not in a bad way. It just blurs, smooths."
The Eye Look You Asked For + New Lighting + Launch Day!! 🥹
"I'll take my Huda Beauty powder in the shade Cupcake. I like to use a little bit of a bigger brush for this. It just sets everything so nicely. I'm swirling that onto the sides of the face to set the liquid bronzer."
I Tried YOUR Holiday Wishlist! 🎁
"The Huda Beauty Easy Bake loose setting powder is so good. It gives a flawless finish to any makeup look and I couldn't agree more, it's just perfection. I'm going to use the shade Cupcake on a Huda Beauty puff to set the face."
What’s Worth It from the Sephora Sale + My Cart 👀
"This is the Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking and Setting Powder. I use the shade Cupcake the most. It is my holy grail, my absolute favorite, and it's magical. It works with everything. I love how it doesn't look powdery and it still sets the face and allows your skin to still look like skin. It's so good."
The Makeup I’ll ALWAYS Repurchase (All On Sale!!)
"My Huda Beauty powder, my holy grail. This is on sale for 30% off on Huda's website. I'm just going to take that Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking and Setting Powder in the shade Cupcake and dust that all over the face, focusing in the T-zone."

"I set the face with powder I brought my Huda Beauty powder of course in the shade cupcake"
This Became My New Favorite Makeup Look 🤍
"Let's take a little bit of my Huda Beauty powder and I'm going to take that on the Nikki La Rose N20 small brush. I love this brush. It's new to me, but it's so good because I feel like it allows you to not overdo the powder whatsoever. So I'm just going to kind of buff this under the eyes and kind of swirl it to get a really seamless, very precise powder."
Makeup Inspired by My Korean Color Analysis
"I'm going to set the face with my Huda Beauty powder in the shade Cupcake. I love that this has a little bit of a pink undertone to it so I felt like it matched the vibes today and again this is a product that you guys know I already use and love."
My No-Overwhelm Guide to the Sephora Sale (What’s Actually Worth It) ✨
"When it comes to an everyday powder, I'm of course going to continue again to recommend the Huda Beauty powder. I wear a lot of shades, but the one I use the most is Cupcake. It does have like a little bit of a pinky tint to it. So it's not going to brighten as much if you have fair skin as Sugar Cookie, which is like their white, well it's translucent, but it is lighter. It kind of brightens a little more than Cupcake. I like this one though for everyday because it doesn't brighten too much to where I have too stark of a contrast on an everyday basis. It just almost matches my skin tone, which I really like because I can just slap it all over my face and it really blends into the skin. This is one of my favorite powders. It's like my favorite powder, especially for some reason paired with this Tarte concealer under the eyes. It's chef's kiss match made in heaven."
The Perfect Holiday Makeup Tutorial
"I'm going to go into my Huda Beauty powder and I'm going to use the shade sugar cookie today which is the lightest shade. I want a little bit more of a glamorous element so I'm feeling like using this lighter shade. I typically will use the shade cupcake on the daily basis which is a little bit more of a pink tone but I want to have that slightly more glamorous airbrushed finish. I'm taking this on a puff. I'm just pressing that underneath the eyes and through the T-Zone just to make sure there's no settling of the product and this is where I always get oily throughout the day so I like to press my powder through the T-Zone then I'm going to take a light little dusting of that same powder and set the sides of the face."
Life Update ❤️ While Trying NEW Makeup
"I've been really committed to my Huda Beauty powder, but I've been using the Prism Libre powder and I'm liking it more and more the more I use it. I think my problem was that I was using way too much before. With the Huda Beauty powder, you can honestly kind of pack it on and you can't really mess it up. With this one, for some reason, less is more. Although it is a very undetectable powder on the face when you do use less. I've been enjoying it much more being more conscious about the amount I'm using."
This Makeup INSTANTLY Boosted My Confidence ❤️
"For me a little setting powder boosts my confidence because it just helps balance the oils throughout the day. I'm going to use my all-time favorite setting powder, the Huda Beauty Easy Bake powder in the shade cupcake. I take a little bit of this on a little puff. I personally love what a little puff does underneath the eyes, it just airbrushes everything, so I'm just pressing and rolling that underneath the eyes and also through the T-Zone a bit. I'm taking a little bit of that same powder and just pressing it on the outer parts of the face as well."
Let's do FALL MAKEUP 🍁 and chat about Ravie Beauty!
"I'm going to go with a powder puff into my Huda Beauty cupcake powder. I just dip it into the jar and then I kind of like press the powder into the puff using my hand and then I take that and just kind of gently press and almost roll it into the skin. This is what's going to give you like a really airbrushed look. I also love it to have a little bit of a matte T-Zone, and I do love a more airbrushed looking complexion in Fall."

Best Blush EVER?! 🤯 Trying ALL the Shades!
"I set the under eyes and the face with my Huda Beauty powder and the cream blush on top of the powder looks so insanely good. It's divine."
My Exact Everyday Makeup Right Now 🥰
"I wear the Huda Beauty powder in the shade Cupcake. I alternate between a puff and a brush. I like to focus the powder in the T-zone because that's where I know I get oily throughout the day, so I like a little more insurance there. I like to blur my pores in that area, so I pat quite a bit of powder there as well as on my chin, around the nose and mouth, my smile lines, and always in the center of my forehead. I like to put a little powder in the brows to lock any concealer or foundation down around that. It also helps my brow pencil apply more cleanly if it's got a little bit of a drier base."

"I still love this one, the Huda Beauty Easy Bake powder, this is the shade Cupcake. I'm just going to take a little bit of this and set the under eyes and the T-Zone with this beauty blender puff. I'm also taking a little powder and just kind of tapping that into the sides of the face as well."
Trying New Makeup for Summer...
"I'm just going to set the T-Zone with my Huda Beauty powder. I like to set the T-Zone with this little beauty blender puff, it's my favorite, and I'm just going to lightly set the outside of the face with a bit of that same powder. I like to set any cream contour with like a translucent powder even though I'll be going in with like a cream blush in a second. I like to have a little something over top of creams especially when going in with a powder bronzer. The smell is more strong in the powder than the cream, like as I'm picking it up it's definitely like you notice a fragrance, but I mean this is blending out really beautifully. I'm really liking how it's looking so far."
The Makeup I Bought This Week.. 🙈
"I'm just gonna take my teeny little Huda Beauty puff with the Huda Beauty cupcake powder and I'm gonna set the under eyes with this. I'm also taking that around the T-Zone just kind of blot any excess shine. That looks so smooth. I love how that looks. I also like to take a little bit of a powder brush just with some of that same powder and I'm just going to kind of lightly set the rest of the face since we have those creams all over. So even though I set it with powder the color still shines through really nicely which I like."
The ONLY Makeup I Need Right Now...
"I can't live without the Huda Beauty powder. I'm using the shade Cupcake. I pick up the powder and then I always kind of press it into my hand first to get off the excess and then go under the eyes so that you're not overdoing the powder. I just press that and roll a little bit. It just makes the makeup last really long and look flawless. Then I always take a fluffy brush and just lightly tap that over the edges of the face to make sure nothing skips for powder."
The Perfect Holiday Makeup 🎄
"For a powder, we're going to stick to a classic, my Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking and Setting Powder in Cupcake. I'm going to pick that up on my Nikki Rose N14 brush, which is one of my all-time faves for setting the face with powder. It's one of my most used brushes. I'm just going to set the under eye area and through the T-zone a little bit, the chin, and we'll tap some on the forehead as well. And let's get a little powder through the brows, too."

"I'm also thankful for my Huda Beauty powder. Can't get enough of this. I just lightly tap that on the outsides of the face."
Allie Glines' Current Beauty Routine | Vogue
"It wouldn't be an Alley Glides tutorial without the Huda Beauty Easy Bake powder. I'm going to use the shade sugar cookie. This stuff is just unmatched. I love to use my little beauty blender puff for this and I literally just take the powder on the puff and go directly underneath the eyes just start to set. I also go through the T-Zone with the puff and then with a fluffy brush I like to lightly set the cream on the outside of the face."
Make Your Makeup Look Better Than Ever
"I'm going to go in with this Huda Beauty powder. You guys know this is my holy grail. I've been using the Mario one a lot as well, but this one is my tried and true. I'm going to use the shade cupcake today. And I'm just going to go ahead and press that underneath the eyes to set. I personally get the oiliest through the T-zone, so I'm going to go ahead and set the face with the most powder in this area here. And it visibly mattifies, but my skin doesn't feel dry. This powder formula is also one that just doesn't feel drying on me in general. But having that extra hydration that's not greasy underneath, I've noticed just helps my makeup feel more balanced throughout the day. Having the right product prepped underneath is really key. And then something that will still hydrate the skin, like actually hydrate the skin, even if you're wearing powder, so that your makeup just looks better and better throughout the day versus breaking down and getting greasy."

"I love my Huda Beauty powder still do still use that like crazy."
The BEST Makeup & Skincare from August 2024!
"I've loved how it looks, it's what I'm wearing today, but especially with my Huda Beauty powder the combo is unbeatable. I love it so much. There's something about this texture that just covers so beautifully. It's like thin but it gives the perfect amount of coverage to where you feel like it still makes a difference. It's not too thin and it just wears so well, especially around the eyes. I love this. This 10 out of 10, especially paired with the e. Foundation. This combo set with the Huda Beauty powder, it's all I'm wearing. I love it so much."
What's ACTUALLY in Lisa J's Makeup Bag?!
"I bring two powders, a loose one and a pressed one. My loose, I mean you guys can probably guess this, this is the Huda Beauty powder I can't live without this. It's my Holy Grail. The shade Cupcake is what I pack with me because I do have a few of the shades, but this one's kind of like it does it all for me."
The PERFECT Barbie Makeup Look 💕
"I'm gonna use the Huda Beauty cupcake powder just because it's a little more pink tinted. I feel like Barbie would use a pink powder. I'm just gonna press this underneath the eyes mainly, just setting the T-Zone with this because we're trying to look airbrushed and doll-like but in the most natural undetectable way possible. I'm just lightly pressing a bit of powder over top of the creams just with whatever's left on the puff so we have a little bit of setting."
Nikki La Rose Does My Makeup!!! 😱
"I usually use it after my Huda Beauty powder because I love my Huda Beauty. I use a puff and I air brush it on. It's one of my favorite all-time favorite powders, it's so good. It has shimmer but it's not very detectable, just feel like a soft radiance to your skin, so like a dull powder. I think maybe I put too much on or something. I like to use a really thin layer. I use a puff and I like air brush it on. I love it, just love good powder."

My Exact "Put-Together Mommy" Makeup 🤍
"I love to powder and I always use my Huda Beauty powder. For me, I like the shade Cupcake. I just use a little bit of powder to set the concealer under the eyes. I focus this mostly in the T-zone, but I do like to take a fluffy brush to just lightly set the outsides of the face. Plus, it adds longevity. For me personally, like if I'm going to bother doing my makeup, especially postpartum, even if it's a light look, I want it to last. So, for me, that means powder."

IT'S TIME! THE BEST MAKEUP OF 2025 🥳
"The Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Powder. This is my holy grail. I still stand by it. It has stood the test of time. I still use it in all my videos and I did not discover it this year. It's been around for a while. I absolutely love this powder. It's foolproof. It's my go-to for everyday. I use the shade Cupcake the most and if you're similar skin tone to me, I feel like Cupcake is my most used. It is so good. I love it and I feel like I will never go without it in my routine."

"My holy grail setting powder is the Huda Beauty one, in the shade Cupcake, and I love it so much. It's phenomenal for longevity and gives that airbrushed look on camera and in person. Some people say they find it drying, but I feel like using less could solve that. Don't be afraid of powder, just use the right amount and formula for your skin."

What I'd Buy for YOU at Sephora RIGHT NOW 😍
"The Huda Beauty powder is the only powder I recommend. It's still my favorite and I think it's the best, especially paired with the Beautyblender puff. If you're looking for airbrushed yet natural, long lasting makeup, these are the key players. I use the shades Sugar Cookie and Cupcake, and Cupcake is really beautiful if you're a similar skin tone to me."
THE BEST HIGH END MAKEUP OF 2023
"For powder this is a formula that I love and will love for the rest of my life probably, the Huda Beauty Easy Bake Powder, but I wanted to throw in the shade that I tried this year which was Cherry Blossom Cake. It's like a light pink so it's really nice for the under eyes if you want to kind of brighten that area and just create that little tint and hint of pink. Even though this formula is not new to me, this color is, so I wanted to throw it in this video."

"I didn't actually want to buy this Huda Beauty powder, but you guys said it's amazing so I tried it. I'm 40 with dry mature skin, and we have a brutal three month winter that's sometimes colder than Moscow, so I'm not going to use this. I understand it's a pretty good product, it's not that heavy and it bakes so well, but I'm not going to bake for the rest of my life. If you're over 35 you probably don't want to bake either because of wrinkles, and it has too much fragrance. My friend Sally loved it, but for me it's a B2C."

"The Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Powder in shade Pound Cake is beautiful and nice, though it's slightly unfair to compare loose and pressed powder. Although the prices aren't majorly different from Made by Mitchell, the Huda Beauty one doesn't provide as much variety or fullness of coverage as the Made by Mitchell option."

"I used this before, but I've never used a pink powder before, and this is a pink one. It looked really natural on the skin. I'm really surprised with this powder. I keep thinking, like, why does it look so natural on the skin? It's like a powder with a glow to it, almost. And just sits really effortlessly on the skin."
This BIG BRAND is scamming their customers! | Mecca Max
"This is the Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Setting Powder. This retails for $66. The Huda Beauty powder has 20 grams in it. Huda Beauty quite literally has four times the amount of product in it than the Mecca Max. If I times $28 by 4 to give me the same amount of product as Huda Beauty, guess how much this now costs you? $112. I don't like the Huda Beauty powder."

These Products are SO disappointing!! | Makeup releases that left me less than impressed
"I was thinking how would that work because we tend to want to cover blue tones under the eye, we use red orange to cancel out the blue tones, those gray tones. So I did question that. But I found it interesting. As I start to see people actually use this powder, I realized it's not actually really purple. It's just a deeper pink. It's called Ube powder. Ube is a deep purple, it's really not that shade right. It's more like a candy floss pink powder, which is still cute, but it's not purple. It was kind of shown as purple, so I was a little bit disappointed by the original teasing because it looks like some trickery is going on with lighting and saturating the final video to make it look strangely purple. Because no one would question like a deeper pink powder. We've all seen pink powder already, so it wouldn't be as exciting right? It wouldn't be like oh, a purple, what does that do? When it's just a regular pink. Then when the powder is revealed and the shade we get is a lot lighter compared to the original visual offer shade, I just thought it was a bit sneaky."

"I'm actually really impressed with this. I like how lightweight it is. It doesn't make my skin feel dry or look dry. And I'm actually shocked that I haven't tried this sooner. I do like the shade cupcake. It does have a beiginess to it. There is a little bit of a hint of rosiness, but it's more beige than rosy. And I don't find this too brightening in the least. It's like the perfect amount of brightness. And it just blends right into my skin."

How to achieve BRATNESS | Charli XCX Makeup
"I'm using my Huda Beauty Pound Cake Powder which I love, but I saw somebody else doing this with the sponge and I was like I'm going to give that a shot. I thought it would be good for this look but I kind of regret it. It really settled into my lines. So I'm going to from now on stick to my puff. I like the puff better. My under eye anatomy is just very loose skin, so I don't want this to settle into lines. For the rest of the face I didn't mind it, but especially with the Tatcha cream water cream, it didn't really mattify it. I ended up having a little bit of oil come through later on, which isn't horrible, but it wasn't exactly what I wanted."
My Go To Makeup when I want to look FLAWLESS
"For my powder I'm using Pound Cake from Huda Beauty with my little Linda Hallberg puff. I load up my puff, tap it on the back of my hand to make sure I'm not going with too much, then I rehydrate my sponge and blend. I make sure my under eyes are all blended with no creasing, pressing it into the skin using the butt of the sponge to make sure things are melted together. Then I go in with a brush to make sure there's no creasing or blending against the eyeshadow, pressing to get that beautiful, nice, smooth, velvety finish. I repeat these steps all over. Yes, lots of steps, but it's all those little steps that make everything look so flawless and wear perfectly. I wore this makeup for 16 hours and it just looks so perfect."

How to achieve long lasting MATTE base makeup
"To set my under eyes I've been recently mixing the elf Halo glow with this Huda Beauty powder. I'm experimenting a little bit so I'll keep you posted on that but I thought it looked pretty decent, maybe a little bit dry. These do really really really set. If you have like more mature skin you might want to just use the elf Halo glow instead because powders end up being like a little bit too powdery for you under your eyes."

I'm SOOO sorry but this is the best makeup look ever
"I'm going to use a little bit of my Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking and Setting Powder in Cupcake to set underneath the eyes. I'm making sure that everything is nice and blended first, then I'm going in and brushing away things that might get stuck in my crease, and then I'm going in with a puff to apply the powder underneath my eyes, really really focusing on setting it. I want to make sure it's nice and smooth but I don't want it to look cakey. I'm going in with my Huda Beauty powder and my puff to set the rest of the face, always focusing in the center of the face where I tend to get a little oily, and then just slowly blending that into the outer perimeter of the face."

"I bought Huda Beauty's Ube Birthday Cake Easy Bake powder because I saw it everywhere on social. I don't actually use it ever, only because I don't know how to bake, not because it's a bad product, but the smell is heavenly."

"I tried a new powder a couple weeks ago and I really really like this one and it is from Huda Beauty, this is their Easy Bake powder and this is so good. It comes in so many shades. I have this one in banana bread and it's just a very light tan color, so it's the perfect shade. It really blurs my pores, blurs imperfections. The lid is so clever, this part opens up and then you twist it and it's got a powder puff in there. When you travel, the powder usually just comes out of the sifter and is all in the lid, but you just snap it in and then close this and it's perfect for travel."

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an antioxidant, and it is often in a formula to keep the other ingredients stable rather than as the active itself. It pairs well with vitamin C, though on its own the evidence for visible change is limited.
