"The Hero Cosmetics Mighty Patch Original are hydrocolloid pimple patches which I recommend for people who get breakouts because the pimple patch is flexible, thin, lightweight, it covers the pimple, and importantly it provides a barrier to prevent picking, which is major. So many people struggle with skin picking, and when you pick the acne it makes it almost impossible for the acne treatments that you are using to actually work and it puts you at risk for hyperpigmentation and scarring and it opens the possibility for introducing bacteria into that compromised skin leading to a secondary skin infection. These are great in that regard. They also provide some cosmetic camouflage, which in my opinion is superior to trying to cover a pimple with makeup, because if you try and cover a pimple with makeup it often makes it more obvious because the makeup starts to get flaky and dry on the pimple. These on the other hand do a decent job providing some cosmetic camouflage. They're super comfortable to wear, you can wear them while you work out, they stay on, you can wear them overnight. When I wear them I forget that I even have them on."

"This is a product that I talk about all the time but it has really come to my rescue in multiple ways this summer and it is the Mighty Patch from Hero Cosmetics. I use mosquito repellent but inevitably you're going to get bit by a mosquito. Scratching a mosquito bite is the wrong thing to do but it's very hard not to when you scratch it leads to the release of more itch signals and it can introduce bacteria into the mosquito bite. I discovered that putting a hydrocolloid patch on a mosquito bite takes the itch away immediately, keeps me from scratching and helps it heal a lot faster. The way hydrocolloid bandages work is they help to absorb fluid from a wound so all that swelling that comes about with the bump, all that fluid from the mosquito bite, it sucks it up so it flattens it out and it helps take away the itch. It flattens it out and makes it go a lot faster plus it protects it from the outside world keeping the skin underneath moisturized."

"These patches are gold for those of you who struggle with picking because they serve as a barrier to protect from your fingers picking and squeezing, so that's really going to help support healing and get that pimple to go away much faster. You can wear them overnight while you sleep, wake up the following morning, and if you have a particularly inflammatory pimple, when you remove it you can see some of that exudate come out and then you can see that the pimple has gotten flatter. It's very gratifying. Or if you want, you could also wear them throughout the day comfortably. In my opinion, they are a much better option than trying to camouflage a pimple with concealer or makeup because that ends up getting cakey and flaky, especially if you have a very inflammatory pimple that oozes a bit. It's going to break up the makeup and just be more obvious."
