What the gurus are saying

This mineral sunscreen spreads smoothly, absorbs fast, and feels genuinely moisturizing without greasiness or dryness, with a subtle green tint that helps camouflage redness and minimal white cast for a mineral formula. Gurus praise how comfortable it is for daily wear, though it lacks water resistance so it's better suited to everyday use than sports or swimming. At twenty dollars, it's an accessible option for those seeking a no-fuss mineral sunscreen.

"I've been wanting to try this Force Shield sunscreen but didn't want to buy the entire thing, and the fact that they have a sunscreen in a mini gives me hope."

"I have heard recently that Hero Cosmetics Force Shield Super Light Sunscreen SPF 30 is also great because it is unscented and it has a green tint, and it retails for twenty dollars."
Yay
"I really enjoy this mineral sunscreen because it's one of those moisturizing sunscreens that doesn't really feel like sunscreen. It spreads on the skin really well, it's fast absorbing, it's not greasy, and it's actually very moisturizing without leaving the skin feeling dry. It has a green tint that helps camouflage redness, and for a mineral sunscreen there's very little cast. The only limitation is it's not water resistant, so it's better for everyday use than for sports or water activities. Overall, it's a comfortable and easy-to-wear sunscreen that I've really enjoyed."

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Sunscreen filters

Sun protection is the best evidenced way to slow visible ageing, and the filters are what does the work. Mineral and chemical filters both protect when a product is applied thickly enough and often enough, which is where most people fall short rather than on the choice of filter.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an antioxidant, and it is often in a formula to keep the other ingredients stable rather than as the active itself. It pairs well with vitamin C, though on its own the evidence for visible change is limited.
