"The Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture 5.5 Soft Cleansing Gel is such a pleasurable experience to cleanse with. It's a clear, colorless, lightweight gel with ginseng extract in it, which is soothing and anti-inflammatory and has antioxidants which help with oxidative stress that damages protein, lipids, etc. in our skin. The formula overall is pretty no nonsense, not a whole lot going on, but the performance is just so wonderful. It goes on almost like you're putting on a moisturizing gel, and then with water it creates this very silky, lightweight lather that really helps to lift up and remove dirt, oil, and impurities from the skin surface. It has glycerin, it has aspila ferment filtrate, and it has beta glucan, super hydrating ingredients, so it helps remove those impurities without stripping away moisture unnecessarily. There's no fragrance in this cleanser."

"I still use and adore the Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture 5.5 Soft Cleansing Gel. If you're looking for a fragrance-free gentle yet effective gel cleanser, try this one out because it has a really nice soft jelly-like texture. It glides over the skin surface easily, it almost feels like you're putting on some sort of hydrating, moisturizing mask, but then it helps to break up the film of dirt and pollutant on the skin surface. You can pair it with a cleansing oil or cleansing balm to help remove water-resistant sunscreen and makeup if you find you need to. It's very gentle, it generates a nice silky lather, it's really a very pleasant experience to use, free of fragrance. I really enjoy a gel cleanser for removing that excess oil but not drying out the skin by being too harsh. Highly recommend this if you are someone who enjoys a gel cleanser."

"It has humectants along with botanical extracts like Alpine lyen extract and Japanese pepper extract that may impart anti-inflammatory benefits and antimicrobial properties. No fragrance in this, very mild, excellent around the eyes. It's a bit more of a workhorse in terms of removing debris from the skin surface. I wasn't able to get off my mascara with this alone and needed to use an oil cleanser first, but that's usually the case for most cleansers. Otherwise, very very good. I really enjoyed this."

"I had to try their black rice moisture 5.5 cleansing gel because you all know I love a cleansing gel. It's just a cleanser consistency I really like and I find that it is a great option. The cleansing gel formulas are a great option if you classify yourself maybe as combination skin, you've got some dryness going on but you also have oily skin. I find that the cleansing gels often offer a lot for those of you who have combination skin, though they can be helpful really for any skin type. This one is free of fragrance and it's a gel but it's very hydrating like you almost feel as you're gliding it over the face, like you can almost feel the improvement in the moisture, like it's trying to help your moisture be out as well as remove dirt and pollutants. It's got ginseng extract in it, again that's going to be anti-inflammatory, and it leaves to a nice silky almost creamy lather as you work it up on your face."

This has been fine, it works, it does what it's supposed to do, but it's honestly just not my favorite cleansing gel. It's a little too light for my preference. It's very thin and so I feel as though I end up using more of it than I need to."

"This is nave safe. No den alcohol, no fragrance, no essential oils. It's the bare minimum for skin of color and it's hydrating. So I really like this product and I would recommend it. It's even good for your teenage kids who are trying to get into skincare. It's a really cute product and it's one that I would be okay with my daughter using and she's 11 years old."

"I tried this and I didn't like this at all unfortunately. I was kind of psyched about this but I was also a little bit nervous about it because it does contain coconut derived surfactants and all the cleansers that have like the coconut derived surfactants don't agree with my skin they make my skin feel dry and tight. My eyes stung which I wasn't happy with. I do like it that it is fragrance-free but then afterwards my skin felt so dry and tight. You know that dry and tight feeling, I hate that feeling. So I'm just not used to washing my face with anything that has any kind of surfactant in it in general. Did not love this."

It's the type of formula I like to use in the summer because I have combination skin that can become quite oily, and I'm wearing a lot of thick water-resistant sunscreens that are sometimes more difficult to remove at the end of the day. "This is a gel that lathers up nicely and I like to use this more so in my nighttime routine as that second cleanse and then occasionally I will use this in the morning as well. This is a very gentle formula that is quite moisturizing. It doesn't strip my skin whatsoever and it never feels tight. My skin just feels like my skin and that's what I like in a cleanser. There are many foaming cleansers out there that completely strip your skin and I'm not for that. I like formulas like this that just keep your skin feeling comfortable all the time. I believe this would be great for all skin types but if you are on the drier side and your skin is always tight and flaky, perhaps you may not want to use a gel foaming cleanser because you may find that this isn't moisturizing enough. But when my skin is normal and when it's oily I just love these types of formulas, especially during the summer months. This is unscented and you can use this up to twice a day if you really wanted to. This has a pH of 5.5 which mimics our natural skin's pH, so this is amazing."

It does a very good job to remove all of that so that your skin is clean for your skincare. I love it, it is super lightweight and I love that gel texture as well. When you emulsify this with water it lathers like a dream, so it works well as that second cleanse because of that reason. This is non-stripping, it doesn't feel drying on the skin either. It actually keeps your skin comfortable and well moisturized."

I definitely gravitate towards the more deeper cleansers, more intense focused on oily skin control. This one is definitely more so focused on hydration and balancing the skin. But wow, I absolutely love using this. I've been able to use it in any climate, in any weather, whatever condition my skin is in. It really is like a multi-purpose cleanser that has helped me when I'm struggling with more oiliness or when I'm struggling with dryness. I really found myself gravitating to using this a lot during the winter time because it definitely leaves your skin very hydrated, very nourished afterwards, but still gives that necessary clean to get all the makeup, dirt, sunscreen gunk out of your skin. "The Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Cleansing Gel, I initially wasn't expecting to like this one because it was marketed as a solution for people with more dry skin, and as someone who has more oily combination skin that really needs a strong cleanser to get everything off in the morning and night, I just thought this wasn't going to work. But then I went through my first bottle and my second and third and fourth and I love this one because even though it feels like a more gentle, nourishing and hydrating experience, it still does a really good job of cleansing everything off of your face. I particularly love using this one in the morning because I feel like it's a great way of removing your nighttime skincare products, still deeply cleansing your skin, but leaving it super soft and supple afterwards. I've never noticed any dehydration or dryness after using this. Every time I use this cleanser, I just feel like my skin is so soft. I don't know why I was so resistant to it at first, but after repurchasing it so many times, I think this is with me for the long haul."

The ingredient list I was like wow. And it has this nice frothiness so I can tell where I'm properly cleansing.
