"Grande Lash contains prostaglandin analogs which are not FDA regulated over-the-counter versions that are actually 10 times stronger than the prescription Latisse. These unregulated versions cause the same dangerous side effects as Latisse including dry eyes, redness, permanent eyelid discoloration, iris discoloration, eye color changes, fat atrophy causing sunken eyes, and deepening of the eyelid crease. The problem is that women don't realize what they're putting on their lashes and don't know to watch for these side effects, so they may not stop using it even when complications begin. These side effects start appearing as early as eight weeks of use and can be permanent."

"My concern with these is always that they can have prostaglandin analog like compounds in them that definitely can cause dry eyes, and there are cases of people getting hyperpigmentation around the eyes related to these non-prescription lash enhancing serums, and they also can cause eye redness. There's one concerning rare side effect, more common in people actually using prostaglandin analogues to treat glaucoma, which is atrophy of the fat around the eye and a sunken eye appearance. It's reversible, it's not really something that we see with using the prostaglandin analogues like Latisse, but it's theoretically possible."
