It uses black ginseng, the most aged form of ginseng, which has the highest concentration of those ginsenosides. It's an expensive product, but I see the same results with it as I do with my Donginbi serum. It is truly a phenomenal product, it's an absolute joy to use, and I love it."

"It's my favorite formula in my favorite step of the routine. I selfishly went and created my dream Essence. This contains my favorite ingredients rolled in one. This doesn't just use ginseng or red jinseng, this uses the highest grade most potent black jinseng and we use very special extraction technology to further ensure that we get the most out of our jinseng. I love TCM and hanbang ingredients in skincare. This has the extract of seven different medicinal herbs and where possible we used upcycled ingredients. At the same time though I want my niacinamide, I want all the different ceramides, cholesterol, phytosphingosine as well as my natural moisturizing factors as well. I wanted a formula that could really do it all. This is like a concentrated serum-like essence but also it moisturizes as well and reduces transepidermal water loss. This brightens, nourishes, strengthens and protects and it gives a really healthy glow. This has a serum-like texture that's bouncy. It was important to me to have a very lush texture that felt luxurious when you're applying it on your skin but I also wanted it to dry down in a way that left your skin feeling really soft and smooth as well. It is robust without being heavy. A little bit of this, just two splashes, can go a long way."
