What the gurus are saying

Gurus consistently praise this serum as an affordable, gentle option for targeting discoloration, with many noting visible results within weeks. The recurring strength is its compatibility with other actives and hydrating base. The main split is on patience: some see noticeable fading quickly, while others caution that results require sustained use and won't deliver immediate wins. One reviewer disliked it due to niacinamide sensitivity, and another felt there are more comprehensive alternatives available despite the fair price point.

"Good Molecules Discoloration Serum, 2% tranexamic acid, 4% niacinamide. That is an absolute bargain. That is definitely the one to start with. I would probably start with the Good Molecules discoloration serum and see how you get on with that one first because that is just by far the best buy."

BRIDAL SKINCARE MISTAKES
"Good Molecules has a good product called Discoloration Correcting Serum. That's a good one that's the next one in efficacy and in price. If that doesn't work then upgrade to other options, but this is a solid choice for addressing pigmentation."

"Good Molecules discoloration serum with niacinamide and tranexamic acid. This one is more expensive. It's £33 but you do get a healthy amount for it."
DEBUNKING 7 Skincare Myths Destroying Your Skin| Dr Vanita Rattan | Skin of colour
"I like the discoloration serum from Good Molecules. It's a very good product, a cocktail serum that I would recommend for a skin of color family. It has 10 tyrosinase inhibitors in it. I made it for my skin because there was no middle ground between buying something off the shelf and then going in for professional grade treatment which can cost $500 to $1,000 plus. It costs $98 and you could do it for a good six to eight months to see if we can treat it, if it's gone. If it doesn't work for you, there really is nothing stronger on the market. But please, this is not first line. Do not buy this first. Buy a retinoid first and buy the discoloration serum first. This is not your first time treatment. It's just if nothing else works."
Best & Worst Dark Mark Serums
"Good Molecules Discoloration Serum, 2% tranexamic acid, 4% niacinamide. That is an absolute bargain. That is definitely the one to start with. I would probably start with the Good Molecules discoloration serum and see how you get on with that one first because that is just by far the best buy."
Best and Worst Dark Mark Serums for Skin of colour 2024
"This is $47, so actually quite reasonable. The third ingredient is glycerin, and it comes out a bit milky. The fourth ingredient is niacinamide, then they put in Calcium Tranexamate Melate, which is a derivative of tranexamic acid. It is a naif safe product and it's a good first line, however it is a little bit expensive for what's in here. In fact, you can buy your tranexamic acid plus niacinamide from The Inkey List for a fraction of the price."

"I think it's a good option, especially at the price point, like $12. But I wasn't overly impressed. Even though it's a good combination of ingredients, I wasn't overly impressed with the performance over time with this product, even though it is a good starter product for dark spots. If you haven't tried any dark spot product and you're looking to start a dark spot product, I think this is a good starter product. But I think there are better, more comprehensive solutions that are currently out there."

"Going to get the Good Molecules Discoloration Correcting Serum and that's 1 oz so you're going to get something that's going to help exfoliate the skin and then something that's going to help with dark spots and discoloration. Remember what I said before, a lot of these over the counter treatments they're for fresher dark spots, but people love Good Molecules. I think there's a post on the Community page where people chimed in on their thoughts on the Good Molecules products. People seem to love it and $26 set sounds good to me."

"The discoloration correcting serum by Good Molecules is great if you want something super gentle but hyper effective when it comes to fading down spots and discoloration. It's packed full of tranexamic acid, so if you're considering another option with the same active, you don't need both, but both are amazing."

ULTIMATE ANTI-AGING SKINCARE ROUTINE - My Evening Skincare Routine
"This discoloration correcting serum from Good Molecules is about $8, it's so affordable and it's got that tranexamic acid derivative but it's also got some other pigment correctors. So if, you know, as we exit summer you might feel that your skin has a little extra hyperpigmentation, the dark spots and discoloration is there, this is a great time to treat all of that and that product will definitely for an affordable price get on top of it."

THESE SERUMS WILL CHANGE YOUR SKIN - Best Skincare Picks 2023
"Specifically for targeting dark spots and discoloration, there have been some recent studies that show the form of tranexamic acid in here, the derivative actually finds it easier to get into the skin to where it needs to be for those results, so you might actually get enhanced results from this product. After just a couple of weeks of using it, I was like wow, I can actually notice the difference. It's super affordable but actually delivers, packs a punch, and really delivers. This I think is a skin-changing, game-changing, amazingly affordable serum that I would recommend time and time again."
TOP 5 HYPERPIGMENTATION SERUMS 2023 - Glowing Skin Guaranteed
"The Good Molecules Discoloration Correcting Serum is really gentle, so you can use it alongside all your other active ingredients from your retinoids to your vitamin C's, it's all compatible with it, so it's a really easy product to just slot straight into your skincare routine. I still absolutely love it. It has some tranexamic acid derivative which is really gentle alongside some other brightening agents. You kind of have to invest in this product, you get long-term payoff but maybe you're not going to get those quick wins, so if you're impatient these might not be for you. But honestly, if you've got sensitive skin this won't irritate it at all and you'll get some really great results in the long term. It's also nice, rich and creamy, and it applies really well onto the skin. These have a little bit of hydration too, which is nice because a lot of hyperpigmentation serums can be a little stripping and drying on the skin. Not with this, it actually adds back to the hydration."
