What the gurus are saying

James Welsh is enthusiastic about the balm's versatility, noting its ability to function as both a hydrating balm and glossy tint depending on application, with impressive longevity from the 15ml tube and no stickiness or transfer issues. Kelly Driscoll sharply disagrees, finding the texture overly stiff and sticky without meaningful moisturizing or plumping benefits. The divide centers on whether the formula delivers actual hydration versus merely coating the lip surface.

"The Plum Plump Hyaluronic Gloss Balm has key ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, Kakadu Plum, and Raspberry Extract, which help hydrate. Love it. It's just a really nice balm. This sits on the side of my bed. I know that once I put this on in the evening, I will wake up and it's still on my lips. Throughout the day it's not sticky. I don't have to constantly reapply. It doesn't easily transfer on stuff. This lasts way longer than other options. You don't get that dried down feeling that you get from a lot of normal lip balms where you put it on and like an hour later you feel like you have to use it again. Really nice. It's just a nice lip balm."

Don't Waste Your Money - Best And Worst Skincare I've tried Recently
"This reads as everything I like in a lip balm. First of all, it has that creamy texture where if you want a glossy lip, you can just add a little bit more than you normally would and it will comfortably sit on your lips and look glossier. If you don't like a glossy lip but you really want that hydration and healthy-looking lips, you just pat it on like a normal lip balm. It does a really good job at getting that balance of giving your lips a really hydrated, smooth feel where they almost feel like really nicely plumped up, but also locking everything in like a normal lip balm. We have hyaluronic acid and raspberry extract in here to help hydrate the skin, and kakadu plum, which is where the plum plump comes from, which is an antioxidant. It's $22, and at first I was like, oh, is that pricey? You get 15 milliliters, which is half your average serum size. I've had this for two weeks now and I've barely even scratched the surface. You need a tiniest amount of this and it's going to last you the longest time. I'll easily stretch this to a year, absolutely no problem whatsoever."

"It does give you a very instant hydrated and glossy look on the lips without being sticky and suffocating, whilst also giving your lips an actually really good dose of hydration."

"I don't like the texture of this balm. It's very stiff, it doesn't really melt, it doesn't become balmy. It's very stiff, it's kind of sticky, and I don't find it to be very moisturizing. It really just kind of sits in like this kind of sticky thick layer at the top of your lips, but it doesn't really moisturize or hydrate or really honestly plump. This isn't plump deep within the skin at all, and that's really what my skin wants. I want deep down replenishment, deep down moisturization. This just really doesn't do that."
