Nothing. None of the experts who reviewed it raised a problem.

    What the gurus are saying

This tool's simultaneous wet-to-dry drying and straightening eliminates the separate blow-dry-plus-flat-iron routine, significantly cutting styling time to about 15 minutes for fine hair. Reviewers report results that stay smooth for two to five days, and they praise the reduced heat damage compared to traditional methods. The catch: thicker hair needs multiple passes (limit to four), and it's not dual voltage.

🌟 My Top Beauty Products of 2024 🌟
"It's the ghd Duet 2-in-1 Hot Hair Styler. Basically it's a wet to dry styler. I am completely incapable of blow drying my hair with a round brush and a hair dryer to get this nice straight look, [...] but this can. It dries and straightens at the same time plus it makes my blow dry last longer. [...] I use this every time I wash my hair, which is about twice a week, and I absolutely love it and can't be without it."
🌟 GHD Duet Wet to Dry | Review & Demo
"I only probably need one pass if I keep my section small. If you have thick curly hair I think you're going to probably need anywhere from 2 to 3 to 4 passes. They say if you go over four is when damage could occur so keep it under four passes. I can get away with one and I've just realized that if I keep my section small enough it'll be super quick. I love it, I think it looks amazing. It was worth 175, yes. I am so happy with this and you can bet your bottom dollar I'm going to be using this every time I do my hair. They say that this should give you twice the results, that your hairstyle should last twice as long. The only downside is it's not dual voltage, so as an American living abroad I can't take this home with me to the States, but I don't care. I love it."

"I got the ghd Duet 2-in-1 hair styler and this is a drier and a straightener in one. I'm obsessed, would be an understatement. It's super crazy expensive, but my hair looks like this and this is two-day hair, this is hair that can stay long and straight and fabulous the next day, which it never has ever, ever, ever done. Plus it's much faster than what I was doing before. So not only is it faster, it's also less damaging, at least that's what they say, that's what their marketing material says, that it's less damaging than traditional drying and traditional hair straighteners put together because of their temperature controls."

"I am completely obsessed with my ghd Duet now. It takes my hair from wet to dry and straightened all in one go. I have hair styling deficit disorder, I just suck at it. I cannot straighten my hair with a blow dryer and a brush to save my life. That's why I rely so heavily on other tools, but to get this straight look I'd normally have to blow dry and then go in with a straightener and that is just damage City. My Duet does it all in about 15 minutes. I love it."

A BIG GLOW UP - HAIR, TAN & MAKEUP | JAMIE GENEVIEVE
"This is the ghd Duet, blow dry. It's so fast and easy. It gives my hair a really nice bounce without it being looking too done, which is my favorite thing. You can do your hair with this to make it look very bouncy, but I like it to be a little bit more lived in than that."
