I just purchased two of these, one for myself and one for my friend, this morning, with their new sunscreen they released. Vitamin C, ascorbic acid, if your skin tolerates it, is the way to go, especially in this formula with ferulic acid and vitamin E. It's proven to be a brightening ingredient, but in addition to that, it stops the hyperpigmentation from getting worse. If you use it underneath your sunscreen, those two products together are going to be hugely effective to help prevent and help brighten skin, and stop it from getting worse. As for tolerance, some people with sensitive skin, this is how I started, I'd apply it to my skin and it would sting a little bit, my skin would be too sensitive, so I'd leave it on my skin almost like a mask for half an hour or so and then rinse it off and then put on my morning routine. It's kind of strange, but it worked for me, so now my skin tolerates it every single morning."

Whereas with Skinceuticals, I think they got so big and they're owned by such a huge company, I think they have problems keeping their stock fresh at all these locations where they're sold, because they're sold at med spas, they're sold on Dermstore, they're sold on their own website, they're sold everywhere, Amazon, all that stuff. So I think they have a little bit of a tough time keeping their products fresh, and Geek and Gorgeous up to now I've never had an issue with that."

Ascorbic acid is one of the most studied ingredients for skin care and I highly recommend this. There's a lot of other alternatives to ascorbic acid and it depends on how sensitive your skin is, but if you can tolerate ascorbic acid, that is the way to go. People have asked me, would you use this as your main ascorbic acid, and I'll be like, well, this one is great, and if you have sensitive skin certainly great to use it, but if you can tolerate it, this specific product in my opinion is just the best, it can't be beat. This is in the handful of skin care products, this is probably my top five of all time, ones that have made a noticeable difference very quickly. My skin has pretty severe melasma and hyperpigmentation and rosacea as well, redness, all that stuff, and this stuff for me was a game changer. Within five or six days of using it, I could tell a huge difference in benefit in my skin.
