"This is a potent vitamin C, but it's not just any old vitamin C. I think hands down this product has done more to transform the landscape of vitamin C serums and skincare than any other product in recent times. Vitamin C is inherently unstable. It oxidizes really quickly. And so, a lot of vitamin C serums, even the super expensive ones, come oxidized. That sort of reddish orange-ish hue to them, just mean it's not going to be working particularly well. Freshness is key. "Geek and Gorgeous Sea Glow. Very simple formulation: 15% L-ascorbic acid, vitamin E, ferulic acid, and at a low pH. The thing I love about Geek and Gorgeous is they don't over complicate it. "I noticed almost immediately when I first started using this, like yonks ago, I was hooked from that point on. It definitely has had some impact with evening and correcting some of the pigmentation and sun damage I have, although that really requires a more collective effort. While this is the OG formula, it is pricey. The Sea Glow derivatives mainly exist as an alternative for people whose skin can't tolerate the gold standard ingredients and formulas, so these work better for those with sensitive skin."

"The last vitamin C I have here is by Geek and Gorgeous and this is a range that I'm really excited to be learning about, super super affordable products and they're really good. This one is called Sea Glow and it's fantastic. I think it runs about 10, somewhere between 10 and 12 euros and I do know that they're available in the US as well and it's just a great product. It is on the watery side so it has that same sort of feel as the SkinCeuticals or say Timeless and it's just a great product and it's super affordable. I mean I will definitely be buying more from Geek and Gorgeous."

"Love this serum. If you haven't tried it, where have you been living? If you like SkinCeuticals CE serum, save yourself a couple hundred bucks and get something fresh like the Geek & Gorgeous Sea Glow. They manufacture it regularly. I've been using for about 3 weeks now and it's still crystal clear. I've become lazy and don't keep it in my fridge anymore because I found I'm just more consistent at using it if I don't have to remember to go to my fridge to put it on. It's $14. It's a bargain. Love it. Highly recommend it. Water-based, very similar to SkinCeuticals serum, except for the price tag. It's got the trifecta of ascorbic acid, ferulic acid, and vitamin E. That is the anti-aging prevention trifecta."

"For my vitamin C serum I'm still loving the Geek & Gorgeous C Glow. My favorite and the most affordable one out there conveniently happens to be the Geek & Gorgeous. This stuff's really nice, no scent, water based, a little bit goes a long way. And it feels nice and non-greasy. There's a lot of vitamin C serums that tend to kind of feel kind of greasy. This one does not. I think it's like 14 bucks. You can see how fresh it is. It's crystal clear. Which a lot of other vitamin C serums, by the time they arrive, sometimes they're oxidized or not as fresh, and this stuff is always very fresh. So, feels really nice on my skin."

Every time I open a new bottle of this up it reminds me of my friend who purchased a different vitamin C serum which is over $180, and she dropped it and it was everywhere. But if you drop this one on the floor it's only 13 bucks, so you don't have to worry about it so much. I mean it still sucks either way, but yeah you're good."
"I love this stuff. I've repurchased it now, I don't even know how many different times. It's a great vitamin C serum at $13. It contains 15% L-ascorbic acid, which is the proven deal. It's prone to be very unstable, so manufacturers that sell it need to manufacture on a regular basis so it stays clear. This is a newer bottle and it is totally clear. When I've tried other brands, they usually come already kind of yellow or golden in color, which means it's getting old already. This stuff they may manufacture regularly so you're always getting a fresh bottle. It also contains vitamin E and ferulic acid. It's a bargain, very similar to Skinceuticals without the $200 price tag on it, and it's made fresh. So in my opinion, if I had a choice between the two, I would pick Geek & Gorgeous."

It's the same amount as the highly researched SkinCeuticals vitamin C serum, so 15 seems to be a great amount that's going to be highly effective but not too much that can irritate skin. For performance, Geek & Gorgeous has the edge. 15 percent is the sweet spot, 20 is a little high and can be irritating, and 10 percent is good for sensitive skin, but 15 is where you want it to be, especially based on the research done by SkinCeuticals."
