What the gurus are saying

Gurus praise the texture as a standout strength (a silky, creamy gel that feels comfortable and layers well under makeup) and appreciate the oil-free, fatty alcohol-free formula that suits breakout-prone skin. The green tea extract delivers visible polyphenols for antioxidant benefit. The main caveat is that it skews light; it works beautifully in warm weather or for oily skin but may not provide enough nourishment during winter or for drier skin types without additional serums.

"Geek and Gorgeous also has another moisturizer around $10 that I'm really excited to try called Hydration Station. It has glycerin and also ectoin. Ectoin is an amino acid derivative, an ingredient that's great for skin barrier protection and also helps with hydrating skin. The Hydration Station looks fabulous."

"The color of this moisturizer comes from the green tea extract which just shows that there is a high amount of polyphenols in here. The texture is just that perfect lightweight silky smooth very hydrating great for normal to oily skin or really hot humid weather. Hydration Station is their lighter weight one. It's a really unique moisturizer formula where they're trying to formulate ones with as pleasing a texture as possible but at the same time being mindful of not including the typical emollient fatty alcohols fatty acids that usually can be very problematic for some people's skin. The texture is interesting in that it's this comforting creamy gel and the formula is actually oil-free if you're breakout prone you're scared to use a moisturizer this is the perfect moisturizer for you. I personally love the texture of this. It also feels like it goes on really pleasantly smooth and it actually even sits well under makeup. But certainly during the dead of winter I will need more so now serums or more problem focused solutions."
