"This one, which is the Happy Barrier Cream, is the slightly thicker option. Great if you have dryness prone skin. It's super inexpensive and packed full of really beneficial ingredients. They put everything on the front which makes it super simple. You've got squalane, you've got lipids. These are all going to be great hydrating and nourishing ingredients that deliver what you expect from a moisturizer without breaking the bank. I have been using these for the past two years. They've never steered me wrong. I love the fact they're a convenient size. You can throw these into your handbag or into your car and use them as a hand cream during the day. You can use them as part of your morning and your evening skincare routine. They're not packed full of actives, so they work alongside everything else. Just really affordable, cruelty-free, and I think leading the way when it comes to quality moisturizers. Well thought through in terms of the formulation that don't need to break the bank."

"The Geek & Gorgeous Happy Barrier Cream actually works. It's cruelty-free and far cheaper than alternatives. This has been an absolute holy grail when it comes to my own blackheads. All you need to do is put a small amount onto the nose or the area where you have blackheads and massage in for 5 minutes. At the end of it, you'll find that not only is the nose super smooth and hydrated, but you'll feel little filaments, almost like little grains of sand, which are those sebaceous filaments and blackheads being lifted from the skin. If you do this every other day for a full week, you're going to see the true results. Honestly, there won't be a blackhead left in the area. This works so well because the oil in an oil-based moisturizer actually loosens and softens the oil and the sebaceous filaments that are in the skin and helps them to be lifted. The massage is really important because it's a gentle way of detaching the blackhead from all the sides of the pores and helping it be released from the skin."

"This is the Geek and Gorgeous Happy Barrier. I last filmed this video 18 months ago, and in that video, this came in definitely in pole position. Still love it 18 months later. It's amazing. The Happy Barrier, I would say, works for almost everyone. They do do a lighter version, which is called the Hydration Station. So if you have very oily skin, you might want to go for that lighter one, but most people can get away with this one, the Happy Barrier. It's got lipids, it's got squalane, and I actually use this on my nose to eradicate blackheads. Get a little bit of this, massage it into the nose a couple of times a week. And when I say massage, really go in for like five minutes, and the oils, the lipids in here will pull out those blackheads. It works better than any pore strip going. "I use this in two ways. I massage it into my nose. It just helps to take away any blackheads and sebaceous filaments that you might have. Use a tiny amount. "This is the Geek and Gorgeous Happier Barrier. This is so good. It's one of the least expensive ectoin containing products you'll ever find. Ectoin is fantastic as it heals the barrier function of the skin. It prevents sun damage in terms of restoring any damage that has already happened. So during the summer, even if we're really on top of our sunscreen game, you will accumulate some sun damage and this can help repair some of it. And ectoin's a great ingredient to kind of do that. So ectoin is a must in my summer skincare routine. This is actually quite a thick moisturizer, so it lends itself well to adding any oils into it."

"The Geek and Gorgeous Happy Barrier Cream contains those lipids and oils which are so important for dislodging those sebaceous filaments. It's also got some calming and soothing ingredients in here which again really important for just minimizing irritation. It's thick enough that it's going to prevent transepidermal water loss retaining the moisture levels in the skin and this delivered so so well for me. It's also super inexpensive if you're living in the UK European Union. Geek and Gorgeous is one of the best brands around easy to get your hands on and I think this is the product that I'm going to continue to use for this hack going forward. "This is packed full of oils, which if you use a small amount, and I mean a tiny amount, and massage it into the skin over time, it will just pull out some of the oil, the sebaceous filaments, the debris, and the blackheads, leaving your skin looking clear. Do it for like 5 minutes. You have to massage consistently for like 5 minutes to start seeing those results. But you'll actually feel those oil plugs coming out of the skin. Ridiculously satisfying. Much more gentle than a pore strip and it actually works. This works better than any pore strip you have ever used. So if you want to eliminate your blackheads, you want to decongest the skin, just buy this. I don't think I'll ever go back to using traditional pore strips and masks. They don't work half as well as this one does."

"The Geek & Gorgeous Happy Barrier Cream is one of my favorite moisturizers and great in terms of compatibility. You can mix a small amount with a powder to make a paste, apply it to the nose, leave it on for about 10 minutes, and then gently massage it in before washing it off. Do that a couple of times a week and within a fortnight your blackheads will be eliminated, those sebaceous filaments will be lifted, and you'll definitely see a whole lot less congestion on your nose. It's gentle enough that you could technically do that every single day, but for me I do it a couple of times a week and it just works so well. The key thing is to get a nice thick paste you really want something that actually leaves a visible layer on the skin, and then you rinse that off after 10 minutes and it's gone without a trace. It leaves behind a nice level of calming, soothing, and hydration, so it's kind of like a two-in-one blackhead-busting treatment and some extra hydration for the nose too."

"The Geek & Gorgeous Happy Barrier Cream contains squalane, ceramides, bisabolol, and lanolin and it's just a really nice moisturizing cream. If you have skin that is on the drier side, this one's really nice, or if you have a damaged barrier. It's pretty easy to damage your skin barrier these days. Over exfoliating, using retinol, getting adjusted and acclimated to retinol, over cleansing, too harsh of products, too much alcohol, too much fragrance, things can damage your skin barrier. The sun, UV damage is huge. So it's really easy to damage your barrier and then it takes some effort to build it back up because when your skin barrier is damaged, you don't retain moisture, you end up getting flaky, dry, red, irritated, itchy. So it's really easy to damage it and then to repair it sometimes can take a while and you just have to be really gentle with it."

"The Geek and Gorgeous Happy Barrier Cream is really nice. It's got squalane, ceramides, and alantin, a really nice product from Geek and Gorgeous. If you notice your skin is really dry and not retaining moisture as well, I'd probably recommend layering some of these products. You could apply the Geek and Gorgeous cream over other hydrating layers."
