What the gurus are saying

Gurus nearly unanimously praise this serum as a high-performing, affordable alternative to SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic. The 15% ascorbic acid concentration is consistently cited as the research-backed sweet spot for efficacy without irritation. Freshness is the standout differentiator; weekly manufacturing ensures the product arrives stable and stays potent for months with daily use. The minimalist formula of ascorbic acid plus ferulic acid and vitamin E is celebrated as the proven antioxidant trifecta. At roughly $14, reviewers emphasize the exceptional value. One minor note: the serum sets slightly faster and feels less sticky than some competitors, which gurus frame as easier layering. No meaningful criticism emerged across the community.

"I love this serum. If you haven't tried it, where have you been living? If you like SkinCeuticals CE serum, save yourself a couple hundred bucks and get something fresh like the Geek & Gorgeous C Glow. They manufacture it regularly. I've been using this one for about three weeks now and it's still crystal clear. I've become lazy and don't keep it in my fridge anymore because I found I'm just more consistent at using it if I don't have to remember to go to my fridge to put it on. It's $14. It's a bargain. Love it. Highly recommend it. Water-based, very similar to SkinCeuticals serum, except for the price tag. It's got the trifecta of ascorbic acid, ferulic acid, and vitamin E. That is the anti-aging prevention trifecta."

Vitamin C Versus 🍊 Timeless Skincare C + E Ferulic Serum VS Geek & Gorgeous C Glow Serum
"Geek & Gorgeous, we've got the airless dropper bottle which is basic, it's simple, it's effective."
Vitamin C Versus 🍊 Timeless Skincare C + E Ferulic Serum VS Geek & Gorgeous C Glow Serum
"The Geek and Gorgeous has a tendency to set a little bit faster and feel a little less sticky and it layers just a little bit easier. I'm not sure if that's because the Timeless contains a little bit of hyaluronic acid in it but the Geek and Gorgeous for me is just a touch more pleasant to apply. It's a close point but the Geek and Gorgeous is just a little bit less sticky and layers a little bit easier. For the Geek and Gorgeous we have 15 L ascorbic acid, point five percent ferulic acid, and then vitamin E. In my opinion the ingredients that are most important in a vitamin C serum you want ascorbic acid, you want ferulic acid, you want vitamin E. Those three together are the trio that are magical."
Vitamin C Versus 🍊 Timeless Skincare C + E Ferulic Serum VS Geek & Gorgeous C Glow Serum
"They're in the sweet spot with the percentage of ascorbic acid they use, 15 percent, which also happens to be what SkinCeuticals uses. It's the same amount of the highly researched SkinCeuticals vitamin C serum, so 15 seems to be a great amount that's going to be highly effective but not too much that can irritate skin. I'm very impressed with how much this has helped brighten my skin up while not irritating it at all. The other nice thing is Geek & Gorgeous's products always arrive crystal clear. They manufacture it weekly and it lasts without oxidizing with daily use for a couple months. I can usually finish this before it goes bad. For performance, Geek & Gorgeous has the edge. 15 percent is the sweet spot, 20 is a little high and can be irritating, 10 percent is good for sensitive skin, but 15 is where you want it to be, especially based on the research done by SkinCeuticals. Geek & Gorgeous is also cruelty free as well as vegan."
Vitamin C Versus 🍊 Timeless Skincare C + E Ferulic Serum VS Geek & Gorgeous C Glow Serum
"I absolutely love it. It's in that sweet sweet spot percentage of 15 and there's not a lot of other ingredients that can mess around with other products in your teens. If you want that extra five percent and it's not going to irritate your skin then go for it. If price is a big concern especially now in the US, Geek and Gorgeous has the shipping now in the US where it's much more affordable and they make it weekly."

2023's Most Repurchased Skincare & Beauty Products - My Favorites of the Year
"The Geek & Gorgeous C+ Glow Serum is the best vitamin C serum I found. Proper pH, proper percentage, contains the other two ingredients vitamin E and ferulic acid that make vitamin C more stable. They manufacture it weekly so it's always fresh, and it's also really darn affordable. Unless you're super sensitive to sorbic acid, if you haven't tried it, give it a whirl."
Best Antioxidant & Anti-Aging Skincare Serums - Free Radical Fighting - Fragrance Free
"It contains 15 percent ascorbic acid, clinically proven active that gives skin environmental protection, boosts collagen production, and fades hyperpigmentation. Also contains ferulic acid and vitamin E, which are antioxidants that help stabilize vitamin C and increase its antioxidant power. It is so darn affordable. They make these fresh regularly, weekly, so you're not going to get an oxidized product and it will last a long time, stay fresh a long time."

"My favorite serum that sits within this ascorbic acid realm is the Geek & Gorgeous C+ Glow. This is the best because it's freshest. And freshness is key with ascorbic acid because it goes off really quickly. You don't want a product that's been sat around gathering dust. You want a fresh product that's going to be at peak performance. And this is something that's guaranteed by Geek & Gorgeous. So I would say if you're going down the pure form ascorbic acid route, shop with Geek & Gorgeous and their C+ Glow serum because this is like the best of the best in this category."

BEST VITAMIN C SKINCARE 2024 - Next Level Anti Aging
"This is my absolute favorite vitamin C serum. It's a phenomenal basic vitamin C serum, and I don't mean basic in a negative way because honestly basic can still be transformative. What I mean by that is this just contains vitamin C in its pure form, ascorbic acid, and a couple of antioxidants alongside that. Honestly, what makes this so special is the fact it's made fresh every single week, so when this reaches your doorstep it is at peak efficacy delivering you all those amazing benefits from boosting collagen production to fading hyperpigmentation, even helping to minimize acne scarring. This just does it all and it's one of my go-to favorites all the time. This is a phenomenal basic vitamin C serum that if you just want an uncomplicated vitamin C life, this is the one that I would recommend. I use it so, so often."

"Geek and Gorgeous C+ Glow is a really affordable one that you can get for right around $14, maybe under $15. Very simple formulation: 15% L-ascorbic acid, vitamin E, ferulic acid, and at a low pH. The thing I love about Geek and Gorgeous is they don't over complicate it. Their products are very simple, super minimal ingredients list, and very transparent about everything in their products, which makes it so easy for us as a consumer to make sure we are picking a product that will work. And another one of my favorite things about this brand and this product in particular is they're priced where they should be. They don't play marketing games and make a product like this cost $100. Okay, so this is literally $15."

"This is a really nice product. It does have C, it does have E, it does have ferulic. Geek & Gorgeous is a smaller brand, but to me their standout product is this. I think it's just wonderful. It's one of those products I find that does that really well. It's a beautiful, beautiful product."
