What the gurus are saying

This 10% niacinamide serum draws mixed takes. One expert finds it competent but feels it's unnecessary in 2024 when so many modern formulas combine niacinamide with other actives like hyaluronic acid in a single product. Another praises the straightforward formula. Not much has been weighed in yet, so there's not a strong consensus to go on so far.

"I'm not a fan of their B-Bomb, which is their niacinamide serum. [...] Nothing wrong with it, I just don't think in 2024 we need a niacinamide serum and a separate hyaluronic acid serum. That was very like years ago when everyone was going mad for those two ingredients, and we now realize that hyaluronic acid and niacinamide is in just about every single skincare product. You don't need a separate one. You're already getting these amazing ingredients as part of your other serum."

"They list the amount of actives in each product which is really wonderful, they're 10% B-Bomb Niacinamide Serum, 15% Seagow. They list the percentages. Their liquid exfoliants are absolutely winners, um they do a great job. And better yet the brand makes all their products very affordable. So those are absolutely worth checking out, they're all very affordable. Their products are fragrance free."

"Again I like it, but it doesn't wow me"

"This is a 10% niacinamide serum, and [...] once you start getting into higher percentages [...] it does come with a greater risk of irritation. [...] But honestly, you don't need a separate niacinamide serum because niacinamide is already in most moisturizers, and you're deriving the benefit from the ingredient in moisturizers which more often have a more appropriate, less irritating percentage strength."

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Niacinamide

Niacinamide has evidence behind it for redness, uneven tone and supporting the skin barrier, and it is usually well tolerated even by skin that reacts to most things.
