"If you're new to retinoids, you can start out with their AAME 5. It's got 0.5% retinol. This is a great one to start up with. Start using it at night. Use a good moisturizer along with it, after it, before it. Sandwich it in between two moisturizers. Then after your next step, you can work up to the AAME 10, which is wonderful. It's pretty affordable. If you compare it with The Ordinary retinol, it actually becomes a little bit more affordable because The Ordinary comes in half the size. It's also got ectoine in there for soothing. Their retinoids are outstanding."

"The Geek & Gorgeous Aame 10, the strength of this is 0.1% so half the strength of the ordinary. This packs a punch. Lots of people use the Geek & Gorgeous Aame 10 and get great results, and I'm saying if you're happy with the results you're getting from it stick with it. If you're feeling like you need a little bit more, then obviously you can graduate to a double strength option. This pack full of hydrators, beautiful humectants which are going to really deeply nourish and hydrate the skin. I think this is more hydrating than the ordinary equivalent and definitely prefer the base formulation, but you're not getting that super high potency that you can get from the ordinary. Most people can start their retinal journey with a 0.1% like the Geek & Gorgeous, they're going to be hydrating which is nice."
