What the gurus are saying

Gurus consistently praise this retinol for delivering strong results at an exceptional price point. The standout appeal is the formulation's use of retinaldehyde, which creators note offers clinical efficacy comparable to more expensive retinols without the irritation typically associated with higher strengths. The tiered strength options are widely appreciated for letting users customize their tolerance level.

"It helps with fine lines and wrinkles, smooth texture, maybe helps with skin tone a bit, skin elasticity, skin firmness. I would even say they may have underpromised a little bit. I find this one works pretty good with fine lines and wrinkles. The nice thing is this will work well for most skin types, including dry and oily. For acne prone skin, there are a few ingredients of note though. We've got haba oil, vitamin E, cetal alcohol, sterile alcohol, glycerol steroid, and carbommer. Some of those are very comedogenic, so that's why I mention that if you have acne prone skin, this may not be the best. Although the retinail may kind of cancel some of those out. The price is $35 for the full size, 1.7 oz, 50 milliliters, which puts this right alongside the price of Geek and Gorgeous apples to apples, these are pretty going to be pretty in line with price. So not terribly expensive."

The Ordinary New! Retinal 0.2% Emulsion Serum Review, How to Use, Dupes/ Alternatives
"I really have a preference for the Geek & Gorgeous A-Game. It's a little bit larger size than this one but it's still overall affordable. The Geek & Gorgeous A-Game comes in 5 and 10 in terms of strength, whereas this one is 2. My preference to all of those alternatives is the Geek & Gorgeous A-Game."

"If you're looking to do things on a budget, this is a wonderful product. I like that it's delayed release. I like the formulation. I like that they have nine different strengths to choose from, so you can start from the lowest and work your way up. Love all of that. The Geek & Gorgeous A-Game range uses retinol, which studies show up to 11 times greater benefit without the sky-high price tag. It's a more simplistic formulation, but it's still going to be backed up by those studies which show retinol to be so much more efficacious than retinol. There's definite truth to the fact that switching from retinol to retinol can deliver up to 11 times greater anti-aging benefit. That's phenomenal, and I would recommend everyone experiment with retinol. However, not everyone's experience is going to be the same. Some might get less than 11 times greater benefit. Others might achieve that number. It depends on your individual skin makeup."

ERASE WRINKLES FAST - 4X More Collagen (5 Key Ingredients)
"One of my absolute favorites is this. This is the Geek and Gorgeous A-Game. Comes in three different strengths. You have the five, the 10, and the 20. The 20 is really up there in terms of strength. So, you're going to get some great outcomes, and because of the formulation, you shouldn't get too much side effects and irritation. I would recommend starting with the lower strength and working your way up, but get a little retinol in your life. Proven to increase the rate of collagen elastin production and also just to help that collagen we already have work a little bit more effectively."
Proven to BOOST COLLAGEN - Best Ever Anti Aging Skincare
"One of my favorites is this retinol. This is the Geek & Gorgeous A-Game. It comes in three different strengths. Retinol again is still clinically proven to deliver that pro-collagen benefit but is often more sensitive skin friendly. So if you're somebody that has really sensitized skin and you're a little bit worried to go for one of the super high potency prescription options or you don't have access to them, retinol is a really great over-the-counter product that you can access and still get some great collagen boosting results."
TOP 10 SKINCARE 2023 - Skincare Awards Part 2
"The Geek & Gorgeous A-Game is an affordable retinoid. It's a retinoid because over the counter it's usually quite affordable if you go with the right brand and much more high performance than retinol but less sensitizing on the skin. Getting an affordable retinoid now in a cream base is amazing, and this is the best of the best. If you want an oil base, if you like a little extra hydration, you want an oil-based retinoid, then obviously there are other options for you. If you prefer your retinol in a cream base, then the Geek & Gorgeous is going to work. It comes to personal preference, there's no right or wrong, do what works for you and what you enjoy. This is stunning and still hard to beat."

"Geek & Gorgeous have a 0.05 retinaldehyde and it's brilliant value for money, often sold out. Geek & Gorgeous have a stronger version now, theirs is 0.1, so now you're really getting to a decent percentage."
