What the gurus are saying

Gurus overwhelmingly praise this as a reliable, multi-purpose cream for dry skin and eczema, with colloidal oatmeal standing out as a soothing hero ingredient. The main split: most reviewers find it gentle and healing, but a few report sensitivity or allergic reactions to eucalyptus oil in the formula, though they acknowledge individual tolerance varies. General consensus treats it as a staple, affordable workhorse.

"If you don't know this moisturizer, I have recommended it for years on my channel. Particularly if you're someone who really struggles with dry skin or eczema, you are going to love this moisturizer. Not only because it has colloidal oatmeal, which is like one of the best, if not the best ingredients to help target and soothe eczema, but also has glycerin, squalane, shea butter, and one of the things I love about this moisturizer is you get a large amount. Even if you go with their smaller size, I believe it's like 5 oz and I think they go up from there, you get a lot of product for a really good moisturizer that's going to last you a long time."

"First Aid Beauty, I have loved them since the beginning of my channel, and their Ultra Repair Cream is 50% off. If you're someone who consistently struggles with dry skin, eczema, or you also want a body care product, this one kind of does everything. It was one of my very first, or maybe my very first moisturizer I ever fell in love with. It's so good. I've loved it for years."

"A staple in my cabinet always is the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. I feel like I've talked about this so many times, but like in emergencies, this is what I reach for. It's so fabulous. If you've overdone it with some sort of active on your face, if you've got a sunburn, if you've got really dry skin, like anything that you just need like a super fix of, the Ultra Repair Cream comes in very handy and it's always good to have on hand as well."

#1 Skincare at Sephora: What I'd Buy for YOU! 🛍️
"This product is great to pair with retinol or lactic acid serum but it's great on its own as well. It's one of my favorites. If you're somebody who struggles with any sort of skin issues, you have to have the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream on hand. This is so great for any sort of eczema, dry patches, breakouts, burns, rashes, you name it. When in doubt, you use this. If you have skin issues at all in any way, this is something that's so great to have on hand. You can use it anywhere on the body. I fell in love with this specific product when I started using retinol and I went too hard on the retinol and my skin started peeling, and I lathered myself up in this and it literally saved me. I always have one of these on hand and I always recommend it to all my family and friends."

It has saved my skin multiple times and it's just a staple for everyone in my household. It's so good."

"First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair Cream is supposed to be sensitive skin friendly, but that one was loaded with eucalyptus extract or eucalyptus oil. It's always been hush hush, pretend we're sensitive skin friendly, but we're going to make a lot of products that really aren't."

A Lifetime of Moisturizer Testing 💧💦 What Actually Held Up & My Most Purchased Face Creams
"I find a brand called First Aid Beauty, and I really get into them. Their Ultra Repair Cream. I switched to this. My skin didn't react the best. I think I had a little bit better luck with the thickness of the tiger grass cream, but First Aid Beauty says they're great for sensitive skin. Well, there's eucalyptus oil in most of their Ultra Repair Creams. So this one was a short phase, but it was a moisturizer that I used for probably six or seven months and ended up now using it on my body to finish them up."

Skincare Brands That Get Sensitive Skin All Wrong
"First Aid Beauty really made their name off of this Ultra Repair Cream which is supposed to be sensitive skin friendly, yet at the same time they put eucalyptus oil in it. I had an allergic reaction or some sort of dermatitis or eczema reaction to it, but a lot of people use this without any issues, so just because I had a reaction doesn't mean most people that use it are going to. Everyone's sensitive to one thing or another, and maybe eucalyptus oil isn't the trigger for most people. It's very individual."

"You can use it on your face, it's amazing for the body. If you have very dry sensitive skin, weather worn from the really cold winter windchill factor, that Ultra Repair Cream has come in handy for me, and I would say that's something to definitely look at."

"Using a thicker body moisturizer like the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream are also super nourishing body lotions that are not as thick or heavy or as greasy as a petrolatum based ointment but can still nourish the skin really well."

Dermatologist's Anti-Aging Skincare Routine for Beginners (Morning & Night!) | Dr. Sam Ellis
"This is probably one of the very first skincare products that was ever a holy grail for me, the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. The texture is amazing, your skin is going to be so moisturized after that. And I love it because it has oatmeal so it is very soothing. I'm a big oatmeal gal. It can help with irritation and it can help with a disrupted skin barrier. I'm just a huge fan of this moisturizer all around. I recommend it to so many people. You can use it on your face and your body, which I also like because it's a multi-purpose type of product. If you are really prone to dry skin, flaky skin, even without a retinoid in your routine, if that's just something that you deal with because you might have mature skin or eczema or you're just dry, this is an excellent moisturizer."

"If you have dry skin, opt for moisturizers that offer deeper hydration and nourishment. Two of my favorite moisturizers for dry skin are First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair Cream and S's moisturizing cream. These contain hydrating ingredients that help replenish moisture and restore the skin's natural barrier function."
