What the gurus are saying

The gurus found this delivers genuine hydration and skin-plumping effects that impressed them. The texture sits somewhere between a toner and serum, thicker and more substantive than either, which means it layers smoothly under additional hydration or actives. The main trade-off: the formula carries a noticeable scent that some found off-putting enough to skip, even though the effects themselves were notably good. Those bothered by fragrance in skincare may want to test it first, but anyone with dull or dehydrated skin might find it worth a try.

"I bought a number of the Fenty products years ago and I absolutely loved them, however I couldn't stay on this end because they're very, very heavy fragranced. I found out they launched an unscented range and I thought that was what I bought. I think it's unscented but I didn't really like the scent of this one either. It didn't feel as overwhelmingly powerful as the other one did, but I just didn't like it. Now I love the effects of this on my skin, it's actually stunning, but it wasn't for me so it's just not what I'm going to repurchase."

"I follow up with the Fenty Skin Fat Water and then I want to layer even more hydration."

"The Fenty Skin Fat Water has a unique texture that is a gel but also a liquid. It's not a toner but it's not a serum, it's kind of an essence but it's a little bit more gelatinous and it does a bit more. Don't sleep on fat waters if you have dull looking skin."
