What the gurus are saying

Gurus unanimously praise this as an affordable, versatile workhorse moisturizer. The consensus highlights its dual action from chemical exfoliants (lactic acid, AHAs) paired with hydrating urea and ceramides, making it effective for rough areas like hands, feet, and elbows. It's noted as gentle enough for delicate zones like the neck and can be used head-to-toe. The texture is thick but absorbs well without stickiness. One consistent note: the exfoliating actives do increase sun sensitivity, so daily SPF is essential.

"This is used for intensive repair. It has alpha hydroxy, lactic and urea. It's both an exfoliating moisturizer, which is perfect for the hands and the feet because you want both hydration and exfoliation. You layer it and then slap on an occlusive glove or occlusive sock overnight. Once it's in, you are slugging that exfoliation and hydration together. It's great for reviving dry, cracked hands and feet."

"Eucerin, I've said it before, they do not make a bad moisturizer. The Eucerin Intensive Repair Lotion right now is like the least expensive I've ever seen it. This moisturizer has become a holy grail for a lot of you because anytime I mention it, I get comments, 'Oh my gosh, I use that. That's my go-to.' It can be used on the face, the rest of the body. It has lactic acid, but also has urea in it, and it has ceramides. This is a great head-to-toe, cold weather product, and it also can help in improving the visible signs of sun damage. The Eucerin lotion is really thick, but it's not like super oppressive or sticky. It sinks into the skin nicely."

"This is a fragrance-free body moisturizer that has lactic acid so it can really help soften dry rough skin. This is a great neck cream if you will because it's very occlusive and the neck skin is a lot more delicate. The lactic acid helps with hydrating but the overall formulation is not such that it's going to be like aggressively exfoliating. The lactic acid can really get in there and soften dull appearing skin and improve the overall appearance of the texture of the skin on your neck."

"This product is amazing. The intensive repair has alpha hydroxy acids which are really good for gently exfoliating and hydrating. Do make you a bit more sensitive to the sun though. So you want to be protecting your skin accordingly, as you should be anyway. I really like that repair lotion."

"Eucerin Intensive Repair Lotion contains a unique three-dimensional form formula that's enriched with alpha hydroxy and natural moisturizing factors and moisturizes, exfoliates, and conditions really dry, flaky skin. The key ingredient here is urea, 10% again, which will exfoliate and hydrate all at the same time. It also has ceramides which will strengthen the skin barrier."

"Eucerin makes the Intensive Repair Lotion, and it has a lot of urea in it to help really soften plaques in the bottom of the feet. Urea is a great humectant that draws in water but it's also a keratolytic that will break up dead skin and help it peel away more readily. It's one of my favorite body moisturizers."
