What the gurus are saying

Gurus agree the cleanser is genuinely gentle and fragrance-free, making it suitable for sensitive skin. The split centers on hydration claims: one expert argues it lacks humectants to deliver meaningful hydration despite the name, while another confirms hyaluronic acid inclusion and tolerates it well. Overall consensus is it's a solid, non-stripping option, though some alternatives with more humectants may better serve dry skin.

"It doesn't have any humectants in it. So it's probably not going to be that hydrating. It's just not going to be that harsh. I'd like to retract that statement because they were a hydrating cleanser. I would say it's a gentle cleanser, not a gentle hydrating cleanser. It doesn't have fragrance in it though, and I would personally buy this product. There probably are better products out there that have got humectants in them, but it's okay. If you have dry skin, it's better to go with the micellar gel wash than this."

"It's a hyaluronic acid based cleanser for normal to combination skin, which is basically for most people, and I would even say if you do have dry skin you could probably use this too. It's clean, it avoids the use of any sort of harsh acids. I used it for about a week or so and it was absolutely fine. I didn't get any impaired skin barrier or anything."
